Muncaster Castle/Mini Train Ride

This was one of the many rainy days that we had while in England but we didn't let that stop us from having fun and exploring some of the sights.  Today we went with my Uncle Jim and Auntie Margret to Muncaster Castle.  This was my first time going.  It is still a working castle and the family still resides in part of the castle so that was very interesting.
The boys at the amazing front door.
Thankfully enough after going through the castle the boys were able to go outside and burn off some energy in the playground.  The zip line was a real crowd pleaser.
Really even playing in the rain can be fun.
I managed to get a picture of my Aunt in one of the pictures even though she was trying to escape.  LOL
When I was little I remember going on a miniature train with my family but was never sure were it was.  Well thankfully my Uncle knew which one I was talking about and took us to it.  Keagan trying to escape.
Enjoying the view.
We really enjoyed the ride.  We missed having Darien and Dad with us as they were dropping off the cars at the other end but didn't make it back in time to get on with us.

Someone was a little pooped.  LOL
Isn't that the cutest little engine.  If my memory is correct (which sometime it is lol)  My Grandfather used to take this train to work every day when he was younger.
We drove over the most spectacular pass I have ever seen.  It was very nerved racking going over this one lane road, which wasn't one way plus the people walking it made for a tight squeeze.  LOL  But a great experience for Jamie.
My Uncle as a very small car so you can see how narrow this road really was with the man walking on it.  LOL
The view from the top.  It is crazy to think that hundreds of years ago the Romans marched these hills.
Me and my hunny.
One day I will go back and explore more the Lake District in England.
The views are amazing.
