Kindergarten Dance

As is tradtion every year the school puts on a family dance for all the kindergarten children and their families. It is always a lot of fun and the kids love it. Here are Rylan and Stefan getting down. There was some serious dancing going on. LOL
Dancing Queens. All dressed up and ready to dance. They were in awe of the lights.
Keagan can do a wicked dance. He is going to be our groupy, the one hanging out at the concerts in the front row. LOL He was determined to win something or get asked to go up on stage to dance. :)
Darien loves the attention that he gets when he is caring around one of the girls. I am not too sure when it all happened but this year has been the year that he has really taken an interest girls. It is so weird to me that he is old enough to be at this stage. In fact he has already fallen out of like with one girl and moved onto the next. LOL One of the girls that he likes was at the dance and it was so cute to see him trying to be "cool" but still getting a little bit goofy. LOL I remember having my first "boyfriend" when I was in grade 5.
The crazy DJ. They did a great job.
Rylan and it really cute little friend that he can't stop talking about. She had told her grandma "you get to meat him tonight" They are so cute.
Keagan was so excited. After all his hard dancing he managed to get called up on the stage to do some dancing. He was so cute. It was a great evening. The older three didn't want to leave but the younger three were done. It is great because I know that we have a least one more family dance to attend. Can't wait.

Finally Finished

So way back in Oct. when we got the bus, I decided that I would make each of the boys quilts for their beds. So off we went to the fabric store. I told the boys that they could pick what ever kind of fabric they wanted to with the exception of skulls and flames. But little did I know that they would pick some pretty crazy colors. So I quickly changed my plan. Instead of having the same fabric on both sides. I decided to do denim on the top and their fabric choice on the other, so that we don't look too crazy in our big purple bus. LOL
So here is the beginning stages. There was a lot of fabric.
This is Dariens blanket. I love the colors but I love the denim on the top even more. I love making these rag blankets because it doesn't matter if there are a couple of mistakes because you can't see them. :)
I am sure you can guess that this one is Keagans. This one my mom and really like because how the colors look with the denim.
It was great to have my mom here at Christmas because she was a huge help in sewing all the little squares together. Yes, Rylans is purple and blue.
My boys have some very confident colors and I think that it is great. I got to pick out Stefans colors. It was really fun to make these for my boys. Now all that is left is to make mine and Jamies out the the remnants. It should be fun. My next project for the bus is changing all the curtains and cushion covers to make it look really retro. I am looking forward to it when we head out to my moms in the bus for Spring break. I can't wait.

Soothers

Yes, Stefan's drug of choice is the soother. It is a hard habit to break but really is that not the cutest thing? I sure think so.
I was cleaning and came down stairs to find my baby had gone upstairs gotten his soother and blankie and had fallen fast asleep. We are planning on taking it way next week when Jamie is home each evening. I will let you know how it goes. He is really good about only having it at night but it is just about time. I think that I am having a hard time with it because he is my last baby. The other day I called him that and he was so choked that I called him that he said "no I not your baby I Befan" (yes that is how he says his name) So Cute!!!

Out Door Fun!!!

Yes, there is still snow in Alberta. But at least it is warming up enough so that we can go outside and play for a little bit each day. What makes it even better is that the girls are walking now.
Keagan is digging for his treasure. I don't think he found it or we would be running some were warm. LOL
Stefan has a major snow eating problem. I have tried telling why he can't eat, even using the old dogs might have peed or pooped in it but now all he says is "a dogy has been in here" and then eats it. I just can't win. LOL
This is my favorite time of the year for taking pictures outside because the natural light just makes the pictures just look so cool. Stefan had stamped his face with a kiss stamp early on during the day and you can see them all over his face.
I just love these kids. They are so cute.
My black eyed boy.
KL is looking so pretty. I had a hard time getting them to look at the camera but they still look cute.
Sadly Darien was at a friends house so I didn't get one of him and by the time I got one of KR she was done and a little sad. LOL

Dangerous Party

So you think that when you send you child to a birthday party that they will have fun and come home with a goody bag, little did we know that when we sent Keagan to his last party that he would come home with a black eye.
For this party they went sledding and Keagan hit the one child with a helmet on his head. LOL
Plus he got pushed into a chair. Needless to say he ended up with a real shiner. Poor guy. He had a good time. The only problem is though that the little girl that is usually really mean to him was there. But at the end of the day he came home with a pretty good goody bag and so he was happy. LOL

Mardi Gras Party

So here we are with the beads, hats and masks. This was a night that we were all really looking forward to. Our dear friends the Hatch's planned this great party and it was a blast.
Keith and Matt both served their missions in Louisiana and so they were both really excited about this night. Keith even special ordered crawfish all the way from Louisiniana.
Here they are cooking away.
The masked banditos. LOL It was so great to hang out with our friends. There was a lot of laughter going on this night.
Matt showed us how to eat the crawfish. So funny. You have to pinch the tail, pull the head off, suck the head, and then get the meat out of the tail like a crab leg. It was really fun. I really enjoyed them but Jamie could only handle one and then he was done. LOL
Amber and Keith digging in. Hmmmmmm.....
Lets get eating!!! This was such a fun night. Thanks Matt and Shawna for planning such a great night and we can't wait for next year.

Pretty As Can Be

Here are my little models. Have you ever seen anything as cute. KR here doing her modeling.
I love the look in KL eyes. She is always thinking about what she can do to get into trouble. We got these little dresses at Disney Land when we were there in Dec. but it has been to cold for the girls to wear them. But I was tired of waiting to they got to model them.
Seriously, it just doesn't get any better than this. LOL I must admit that I am enjoying the pink. LOL

Happy Birthday to Me

Today was a wonderfully relaxing day. I spent the afternoon outside with my boys watching them play and have some fun while my loving hubby was inside cooking me my birthday dinner. He brought out the bubbly.
The boys are always so excited when we get to have a "fancy" dinner and the best part about it is the fun glasses that they get to drink out of.
My hubby made me a great steak dinner and it was divine.
He went all out by making a cake for me too. It was so good and tasty. I thought that he did a fabulous job.
Thankfully he didn't but on the number of candles that I was turning because I don't think that I could have blown them all out. LOL I am happy to be turning 32. The last 32 have been wonderful, trying, uplifting, blessed, joyous, amazing, adventuresome and so much more that I am looking forward to the next 32. For me there is no better way to spend a birthday then with my family. I am a very low key person so this was perfect. Thank J for all your hard work. Love You.

Family Day

For those that don't live in Alberta we have a special holiday in Feb. called "Family Day" This year we decided that we would head down town to see what was going on. We met up with our dear friends and did some walking around and exploring.
We had some great fun skating by the legistlature building. It was a beautiful day and so wonderful to be outside. Rylan and Stefan got tired of skating but were more than happy to go around the rink Stefan sitting and Rylan holding on and being pulled around.
These boys love to skate. They would have spent the whole day there.
Even Stefan gave it a try with his cute little bob skates. He liked it for about 5 min. and then he fell. :)
This is the legislature building in behind the trees. I just can't get over how beautiful it was and it was a great way to spend the day as a family.

Everyone Loves a Good Foot Message

And these are the reasons why I blog. How else am I going to remember the night that Jamie decided to treat the boys to foot messages.
Their reactions were so great. The laughter was awesome. I wish that I could have taken a video of it.
Even Stefan got in on the laughing. These are some great kids and they really enjoy life.
Rylan is so cute in this picture he is completely at ease with it and still reading his book. Too Cute.

Day Five - Final Full Day of Fun :(

This was our final day of hoopla before heading back to reality. We had just the morning to go out on an adventure so off we went to rent some very taty dirt bikes that after riding on them we were surprised that they survived to bring us home. LOL We tried not to stop very often as Tyler and Michells would die and it would take us about 10 min. and a whole lot of sweating to get it doing. LOL In case you are wondering yes those are the same helmets from going on the zip lines so I guess because they figure they will save you life when falling from 100's of feet that they will save you when going 100 km an hour. LOL
We took a trip up and around the other side of the valcano which involved an hour drive on a very bumpy dirt road but the end result was worth it. The view was amazing. While we were up there it even put on a little show for us with lava flowing down the the side and rocks tumbling down. It was very loud.
More risk taking as I was riding on the back of our bike I had to capture a picture of T and M on their bike. It was such a blast and more great memories.
I had to capture a picture of my "old man" it is amazing how much hair he has lost over the years. That is quit the reflection coming off that bald spot. LOL At least it didn't get really badly burned. How I love this man with or with out hair. He is still the man of my dreams. :)
This was such a beautiful spot. We loved just sitting with our feet in the water and enjoying the piece around us.
On our journey we came across this shanty with a sign that said fresh cold coconut milk so we had to stop and try. There was this really cute little girl that tried her best to speak english. Her mom came out with 4 whole coconuts and with a very large knife cut them open.
It was so interesting and it tasted really good.
We were very sad to leave Arenal and one day we will go back. But we were on our back to San Jose for the night before our flight left in the morning. We had a taxi to take us back and at a stop we went to this was the friend that was waiting on the back of the bathroom door. It was amazingly huge about 4" long and just a tad bit scary.
Our final view of the jungle. I was excited to be going home to my children but the adventure of travelling is in my bones and something that I am always more than willing to do. It is also something that out kids have and thankfully they are full of the thrill of the adventure too so we are always planning our next trip. Keagan has it in his head that he wants to go to Africa so we are planning how we can start saving our pennies. Who knows if it will ever happen but you just never know. :)
Our final picture. This ride was a little bit more crammed than the last but still fun.
The beauty of the sun set from our hotel room in San Jose. We will be back.
Our hot rod that took us home!!!
