Everyone that know my husband know that he likes to get deals. Well one night while out we found a ton of great deals at our local store so he had to take a picture. He got all this food for $55.00. With out the savings it would have cost us $180.00. Way to go Jamie. LOL

On Our Way Home
Everyone rides bikes in Amsterdam. There are 750 thousand people in Amsterdamand 1.2 million bikes. Yes some people have a back up. LOL In case they loose their other one after a night out at the pub. LOL Cyclists have the rigt of way over cars and pedestrians. I loved it. I wish that I could ride my bike to more places here in Canada.
On the train heading to the airport. One day Jame will fly on this plane. LOL This was an amazing trip and I am so thankful to our moms for their help in watching the boys for us while we were gone. I am so thankful for these adventures that I am able to have with my best friend and the love of my life. Love you Jamie.

Bike to the Sea
This was what we had for breakfast one day. Crazy huge crepes with a whole lot of really sweet toppings. LOL
Had we know they were going to be this big we would have shared but oh well. We fell we were ok because of all the biking we had been doing. LOL This was the first day that we also got rained on in the morning. And it wasn't just a little the rain drops were huge. LOL But it did clear up for rest of day so we could do our long bike ride out to the sea shore.
One of our many stops to rest of legs and our back sides as the ride out took us about 3 hours.
These are all vacation homes that people have right on the beach. They are very neat and tidy.
There was endless amount of sand.

One of the beautiful churches that we saw in a town called Harlem.
We were so happy when we finally made it to the shore. We reallized that probably rode over 50k that day. LOL We had very strong legs by the time we got back. These are all vacation homes that people have right on the beach. They are very neat and tidy.

Here we are at the trainstation. Yes we did cheat and took the train home. It was a great day but we would not have made it back in time to get the bikes back to the rental company. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL)

Dinner Cruise
We love going to markets and we were happy that we found one to explore.
We knew the boys would love this car. Every time we rode by it we know we had to stop and take a picture. LOL I am not even sure if Jamie would have fit in here. It looks just like a toy car the right size for out kids. LOL And yes they did love it as soon as they saw the picture.
This was were we stayed for the first three nights while in Amstrdam. It was so cute and it included a wonderful breakfast every day.
We made our way back out to the country and did some riding around. Just to enjoy the scenery.
We decided to splurge a little and take a dinner cruise one night. The food was wonderful and it was a great way to see all the different canals. And again to hear more history on Amsterdam.
This a play ground set up on barges on the canal. How facinating. LOL
It is hard to see but there are 7 bridges in this picture.

The Country Bike Tour
We really enjoyed do the bike tours so we decided to to a country side bike tour. This was took us out of the city. Our first stop was at a loch. There were so many boats waiting to come in and sail the cannels as it was a beautiful day.
House boats are a very popular thing in the cannal. They are however very strick about how many there can be and have put a cap on it. The history of Amsterdam is very facinating and I learned a lot.
Riding through one of the many parks surrounding the city. When the weather is nice everyone flocks to be outside.
I loved this little house right on a small canal in the country side.
So beautiful.
Love the action shot. We even managed to trade off the camera while riding our bikes. I know distracted drivers. LOL The flowers we beautiful.
There are only 4 people in Amsterdam certified to make clogs and it was really interesting to see one of them make the clogs.

Exploring Amsterdam
Our breakfast every morning. It was fresh bread, meats, cheese, juice and yogurt. Yum Yum
The whole reason for the trip was for Jamie to go to work at the airtraffic control center. So here he is on his way to work. He was there for about 2 hours. LOLExploring the gardens of an inner court yard.
Beautiful canals.
We were able to through the Anne Frank museum which was very facinating. This is the actual house where they stayed.
The next day we decided to do some more exploring. We were very lucky because the weather was actually really nice while we were there. It tends to rain a lot in Amsterdam.
There are people every were. Everyone is very friendly and what we liked is that it is such a multi-cultural place everyone that we met spoke english so it was great to get around.
I feel so blessed to be married to this man. We were celebrating 14 year married but we have been together for 17. Crazy, were has the time gone? LOL

Amsterdam Day One
Jamie had to go to Amsterdam for work so we decided to combine work with our anniversary and take a few extra days to explore together. This was such a great trip. After flying all night and not sleeping at all. We arrived dropped out luggage off at our house boat that we were staying at and then made out way to join a bike tour for the day. Crazy I know.
We thought that this would be the best way to see the city and get a feel for how to get around. This is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe that I have ever been too.
Clock tower. On our tour.
This was the view from our window. We stayed in the best place ever.
Finally relaxing after a crazy long flight and a three hour bike tour. LOL
After a much needed rest we made our way back out to do some more exploring. We decided that the best way to get around was by bike so we rented the bikes and kept for the rest of our stay. It was awesome.
There is something about Europe that I love so much.

Mothers Day 2012
This was the first time in many years that Jamie and I have both had our mothers at out home for Mother's Day. It was such a wonderful weekend and the weather was amazing so we spent a lot of time out on our deck.
Jamie and mom enjoying some warm weather.
Penni and her boys. Yes we even managed to have both of Jamie's brothers here for the weekend too. So it was very fun filled. LOL
Me and my boys. There is nothing better than being a mom and being a mom to all boys is the best. I wouldn't want it any other way.
Me and my mom. I am so blessed to have a wonderful mom. I love her with all my heart. Happy Mother's Day
