More Deception Pass

We decided to head back to Deception Pass.  We enjoyed it so much that we wanted to take our moms back for a couple of nights.  We are so glad we did.  The boys loved playing and throwing rocks in the water.
Funny how the rocks never ran out.  Haha
Rylan was making some great towers from the rocks.
Grandmas enjoying the view.
Our campsite was perfect and very private.
We went to Fort Casey.  It was so cool to explore here.  The boys loved all the bunkers/barracks they could go in.
Standing on top.  so much fun.
We had a hard time keeping up with them.
Grandmas liked it too.  The view was breathtaking.
They were getting ready for war.
We love to see new places and learn about history.
Even better is when the boys can do hands on and exploring.
We then when up a light house.  It was a little tight at the top but great to see.
Then it was time for a swim.
The only problem was that the water was a little chilly.
I was not getting in that water.  Haha
A little surfing was a little better than being in the water.
It was a beautifully warm day.
The rocks on this particular beach were very large.
Rylan decided to be a daredevil and jump off the dock.
Here he is running.
I was so nervous for him.
I love this action picture.
Almost ready to hit the water!!
Swimming for the dock because he realized how cold it really was.
He is the only brave one that jumped.  Way to go Rylan.

Cultas Lake

Nothing better than a day spent at the lake.  I remember going here when I was a child.  We were lucky enough to join some friends on their boat for some tubing and skiing fun.
The weather was so beautiful and they boys loved jumping off the boat into the water.
Some tubing fun.
It is so amazingly beautiful.  The mountains surrounding this lake is so breathtaking.
It looks like Keagan is going to get run over by the tube.
But they were all jumping in the water.
My baby is getting so big.
Making their way back to the picnic area.
It was a wonderful day.  I love to see my boys outside having fun.

Hiking Seymour

Our group of hikers heading up Mount Seymour in Vancouver.  It was a beautiful day for a hike.
It was by far one of the hardest hikes that I have done in a while. It was straight up on some very uneven ground.
But these two little munchkins didn't let that slow them down.  I had to work hard to keep up with them.  They were fast and had so much fun.
The leaders of the pack.
I am pretty sure we were only half way up at this point.
But they just kept going.
The end result was spectacular.  There was a lake at the very top and the boys even went for a little dip.
I wasn't ready to do that but they had fun exploring around the lake.
Keagan jumping in.
Rylan taking his turn.
They were the only two that took the plunge.
They are my hero's.
The two brave ones.
Enjoying the view and sun.
These boys are so much fun.
Stefan didn't get too wet.  He likes to see what and who he is swimming with.  Lakes are not his favorite thing.  LOL
But he will always play in the water.
Our pose at the top.
Our hike down didn't take us very long but it sure was hard on our knees.
This is one of our favorite places to stop.  The view of down town Vancouver is amazing.
Jamie and I used to come up here when we were dating.  Now look at what we have between us and there is one missing.  LOL  Another great day!!
