Great Rest Stop

This was one of the best rest stops that we have ever been to in all of our travels. It was in Idaho some were and we all really enjoyed it. It was located on what used to be lava flows. It was called "Hell's Half Acre Trail"

Stefan enjoying some of the views as we walked.

Looking out over we could see the remains of three old valcanoes. Thank goodness they had signs to explain everything.

This is not a very good picture but we figured that we would try and sent it up on the tripod to get a picture. Group pictures don't usually work out very well unless you have someone else taking it. LOL

The boys standing on top of some of the lava. Rylan really enjoyed this tour because he really wants to be a geologist one day. This was such a nice rest stop it is hard to believe that we have never seen it before. But we sure are glad that we saw it.

More Fun Great Falls Montana

I thought that these were some pretty fun pictures. This one of our stops on our way down to Salt Lake City.
In true boy fashion they needed to stretch and burn off some energy. :)

Welcome to Alberta

This is one of the things that I love about living in Alberta and especially were we live. We can stand out on our back deck and watch the storm come in and it is awesome. We can usually see the storm about 30 min. before it hits us. This was the most amazing cloud formation that I have ever seen and the kids really wanted me to take a picture.

I must admit that I was a little bit nervous watching this one more in an the wind that came with it was amazing but all was well. We did have to save some furniture but all survived. :)

With Honor

We are very proud of Darien because again this year he received honors for his grade. It is hard to believe that he will be going into grade 7 next year but it is so exciting.
Here he is getting his certificate.

The group picture of all the kids that received honors in grade 6.

And of course the cute girl standing beside him is his "friend". LOL Isn't she cute. :)

Mrs. Epp his wonderful teacher this year who really seemed to understand this age group. Darien really enjoyed having her as his teacher. What a great year.

Last Day of School

I love the last day of school. It is so much fun and everyone is so excited. As is tradition every year at the kids school they have family picnic. Rylan is so funny because he had to have his picture taken with everyone. LOL Here he is with the TA from his class.

Rylan with his wonderful teacher. We are so happy that Rylan was able to have Mme. Jolene it is the same teacher that Keagan had for grade 1 and she was wonderful.

Keagan with his amazing group of teachers. This year his two teachers job shared and they were both amazing women and then you add in the mix the TA and it was a great year. We are so thankful that after all the struggles Keagan has had the last couple of years that we were able to end the school year feeling really good and looking forward to next year.

Our wonderful Principal. She is such an amazing person and it amazes me that she knows all 550 children by name and takes an interest in every thing they do.

Even my mom was able to join in on the fun. This is such a great day.

Rylan had his yearend party at the youth centre in our town and they had a great time playing games and hanging out.

Stefan and I even managed to make it to Darien's year end party. They had a party at his math teachers house. When he first heard about were it was going to be he wasn't too happy or thrilled but I think that they ended up having a great time.

Just hanging with his friends. The cute thing is that the is sitting with the girl that he likes and she likes him. And of course their chaperone Stefan. LOL They had a great time having water fights and playing in the field.

I am so thankful for each of my boys teachers, this was a wonderful year for each of the boys and we can't wait for next year.

Happy Birthday Stefan

I can't believe that our baby is 4 today. Really were does the time go. Since the day Stefan was born he has been a wonderful blessing in our lives. He is so full of personality and life and is one of the most loving children I know, telling just about everyone that he loves them. He is a real joy to have.

Here he is with our new tenants. (a young newly married couple living in our basement over the summer to take care of the house and save some money. Really fun having them.)

He really isn't a baby any more and in some ways that makes me very sad but in others ways it is so wonderful to watch him grow.

But at the end of the day he will always be my baby. He so cute with his curly hair which he loves and always tells people that he took it from me. LOL ( I had really curly hear before I was pregnant with him and now it is gone, I wonder were it went. LOL)

His spider man cake.

Happy Birthday to a wonderful boy.

Having our adoptive family over. As is tradition we spend out birthdays with the ones we love and here they are. :)

What a great way to spend the afternoon celebrating the birth of our youngest child. Each of my children bring so much joy into my life and I am thankful for them every day.

Happy Birthday my precious Stefan. We love You.

Provincals

Well Darien made it to provincials for running the 100m dash but of course it was raining that day. It wasn't just raining it was pouring down. We really weren't to happy about having to spend 3 hours in the rain but we did it.

Here he is getting ready for his race. Stefan and I waited for him at the finish line.

Running a great race considering how cold he was. He ran a great race coming in second but we didn't hang around any longer than we needed to. Darien was freezing and just wanted to come home. I was proud of him for sticking it out and running his race. Next year will be better. :)

Year and Party for Lacrosse

This is the year end party for Keagan's lacrosse team. They had a pretty rough year and it was so nice to see them just hanging out and enjoying their time together. All the kids had a great time bowling that is except Darien. He has discovered that he "sucks" (his own words) at bowling. Which we all find very humorous as he is usually the kid that does well at every sport he tries. LOL But he was a good sport.

Rylan showing us his moves which always include his tongue sticking out when he is really concentrating. LOL

Stefan tried rolling the ball a lot of different ways but in the end between the legs was the winner.

This was a great group of kids and parents and we can't wait for next year. They had a great year and worked very hard.

The professional. LOL At least for the first round after that it all goes down hill. :) He is just so strong that the ball flies out of control. LOL This was a great way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Great Grandpa's Visit

This was our last day of having Great Grandpa with us. This is the closest thing to having a group picture as he really doesn't like it. LOL

But I do love this pictures of him just snuggling and enjoying his time with his Great Grandchildren. It was a great visit and hopefully we will get to see him again when we head out to the Coast this summer.

Hansel and Gretle

For their year end Rylan's class put on the play Hanel and Gretle in french. Rylan was one of the nairators and he did a wonderful job.

It was so nice because my mom was here for a visit and so she was able to come and watch it also and little to Rylan speak french, which is so very cute.

Rylan is our little actor and we always say one day you just might see him on TV. LOL Way to go Rylan is was a great play. Love You.

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers day to the most amazing Father and Husband. My boys are so lucky to have a dad that will play with them, wrestle with them, watch movies with them, travel with them, and just hangout. I am so thankful that I have Jamie in my life.

Stefan giving daddy his gift that he made at school

Rylan giving daddy his tool box that he made at school. We are so lucky to now have two of these. ;)

I love the morning faces. LOL Keagan and daddy.

Darien even brough him breakfast in bed. Life doesn't get any better than frozen waffles. LOL

And the grand finale, a shaved ice machine so that we can have our own shaved ice at home. So exciting. Happy fathers day Jamie. I love you.
