I Have No Idea

I sometimes wonder what the type of games the boys are playing. LOL They have such great imaginations. I had to capture this moment.

Yes the snow is that deep. It was so deep that Stefan hasn't gone outside to play in a while.

Since these pictures the snow has gone down quite a bit. But alas winter is not over yet. :(

Party

This was the prep work for a party that we had. It was a fun filled night with some great couples from church.
We had a potluck dinner. At the end of the evening we had a great game of pictionary boys against the girls. It was a very close game all the way right up to the end but the girls came out on top. It was a great getting to know some new faces from church.

Happy Birthday My Friend

It was that great time again when I got to go out for my best friend Amber's birthday. It was a great night with some amazing entertainment. We had dinner at the Red Piano. It has a great atmosphere. I wish I could say the same about the food. It is not very good but it is totally worth it.
We are so blessed to have these great friends in our lives. It was a wonderful evening. Thanks guys for a great night.

Ice On Whyte

This was a fun filled day. It started out with moving some more snow. In the last ten days we have had 3 feet of snow fall. This is the most amount of snow that we have had since moving to this wonderful province. LOL The boys are loving it, I am done with it but that is ok. This is one of the large piles of snow that we have in front of our house. It has gotten bigger since this picture. Just so that you know Jamie is 6 feet tall and the pile is about 2 feet taller than him. The boys call it their mountain. :)
We decided that even though it was -23 outside that we would go to the Ice on Whyte display in Edmonton. It is a presentation of ice sculptures and ice slides. We went a few years ago and it was good but this time it seemed like that much more fun. Because it was so cold out there weren't that many people there so we got to enjoy the giant ice slide a lot. This is the boys getting ready to go down for the first time.

I lost count as to how many times Jamie and Stefan went down the slide. Stefan was so cute because he would go down with his eyes closed.

You can tell how fast he was going because his toque was flying in the breeze. LOL

This was at the end of a maze of ice. The tunnel under the house was so cute.

I was really nervous about going down the big slide so the smaller slides were right up my alley. LOL

The boys are real die hards and didn't want to stop having fun. But we had to take a break inside the warming tent so that I could feel my big toes again. LOL That and Rylan and Stefan were getting some frost bite on their cheeks. Jamie is warming up Stefans cheeks.

This is our crazy family enjoying the winter wonderland in Alberta. I finally broke down and spent the money on a winter parka and I can honestly say that it made a huge difference. I was actually able to enjoy being outside with the boys. The only reason why my feet were cold was because I was just standing watching the boys go down the slide. It was a great way to spend the day. We enjoyed almost 2 hours being outside and playing. Great way to spend a Sat. afternoon. I am slowly coming around to living in Alberta. :)

Sliding Fun

This was my one and only turn down the slide. As fast as it looks like we are going is as fast and it was. It was shocking how fast it went. LOL I was torn between holding on to Stefan and keeping myself upright. LOL But we survived. I love the sound of Rylan laughing at the end it makes me smile.

Fun Days of Skiing

I love the fact that my boys love going skiing and so while they were off for Christmas break we decided to head to our local hill for a couple of days of skiing. Sadly I didn't get any clear pictures of Rylan but he is a super star when it comes to skiing :(
Jamie was able to go for part of one day but that was it.

Darien is like an old pro. He loves snowboarding and makes it look so easy.

This is Keagans first year snowboarding up until this point he has always skied. He took one lesson and then it was like he had always snowboard. He now says that he will never ski again. LOL

The most exciting thing is that for the first time ever we are all able to go skiing together as a family. Stefan has now started skiing and he did awesome. I took him out for a couple of hours with the other boys and he didn't fall once. In fact he kept telling me that he wanted to do it by himself with no help. :)

I have been waiting for this day to come and it felt so right. To have us all doing the same thing together as a family that we have never been able to do. We really are moving into the next stage of life and it is very exciting.

Resolution Run

Here we are after our new years run. This is the 5k resolution run that takes place ever Jan. 1 and I had the great opportunity to do it with some great woman, my son and an added husband. I am so thankful for the friends that I have made since moving to Alberta they are very inspiring. We loved our matching very bright jackets. LOL
I was so thankful that my friends husband came so that Darien could have someone to run with that wouldn't slow him down as much as I would. Jamie was supposed to do the run with us but because of the accident it just wasn't going to happen so Darien was a great step in. Thanks T for running with Darien.

I was so happy to be able to do this run with one of my best friends Amy. We have been running partners since Sept. I has been a wonderful way to get to know one another. This run was such a wonderful experience for us that we are now planning our next runs. I look forward to many more great runs with you Amy. :)
