Report Cards

This was such a great day. The boys brought home some wonderful report cards. As a parent it feels so good to see your children succeed and feel good about it.
Our sweat Rylan is in grade 1 and it doing great. He is excelling in his french and reading. We are very proud of him.
Our smart Keagan is doing great in grade 3. He has made. such great improvements since the beginning of the year and we hope that it will continue for the rest of the year. He loves learning French to and it is so neat to see him and Rylan communicate in french together. LOL

This is going to be a good year for Darien also. He has a wonderful teacher and it doing so well that he got honours for this report card. It was great to see how proud he was of himself and his hard work.

As a special treat we decided to take the kids out for dinner which is something that we don't do very often so the boys were really excited. We went to Montana's and the boys loved it.

Sleeping Again

I just love sleeping kids. LOL Stefan had a really rough morning and now I know why he was tired. Would you believe that it is only 11:30 am and he is already sleeping in the rocking chair in my room, that tells you how rough the morning.
I decided that if maybe I covered him up and made him comfortable that he might sleep for a while so that I could get the bathrooms done and upstairs cleaned without having a needy little boy following me around and it totally work. LOL I got it all done before he woke up and then we could do other things together. So cute. Moments that I will treasure.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Ahhh, one more year has pasted for my wonderful husband LOL. He is now officially 35 and that is really hard to believe. Really in just a couple of years we will have been together for 20 years and that is really mind boggling to me but it brings such joy to my heart when I think about what a blessing it is to have Jamie as my eternal companion. As is tradition our birthdays are very simple. LOL I know what you are thinking "wow what a tradition" but what can I say that is the only way I role. LOL
For us we are happy with a dinner of the birthday persons choice, cake and a couple of presents and life it great. LOL I am sure that there are times when the boys wish that there was more but as we tell them we do other things though out the year instead of just on birthdays.

The boys were so excited to get Jamie a nerf gun for his birthday. They love to try and dodge the bullets and it is the funniest thing to watch. He also got a new camel pack (water hydration back pack) for our future hikes so that everyone can carry their own water we even found a small one for Stefan it is so cute. Happy Birthday to the Love of My Life. I am looking forward to many more great years.

Fairmont BC

This was our weekend spent in Fairmont BC. We were very blessed a couple of years ago to received a time share in Fairmont from some of my moms friends that they were no longer using and so we were more than happy to take that off their hands and we have really put it to great use. So we took some time to go there for a few days. The pool was one of the boys favorite places to be. I love the googlie eyes from the goggles. LOL

Our favorite thing hiking. So tried to get a hike in a day. This was the start of a great hike. I love these boys.

Our first stop was at the water falls.

It was a great hike down to the river and now we are getting ready for the looooonnnngggg hike up. It was a lot of switch backs.

When we made it to the top it was a lot warmer. LOL I am not sure if it was the hike or the fact that we got that much higher and closer to the sun. LOL We did have one scary moment when Darien and Keagan got so far ahead of us that we couldn't find them. As a mom my heart skipped a beat not being able to hear them when we were calling them. They were being survivor men by running up the hill to the next switch back instead of going the long way and they got too far ahead. They learned a valuable lesson about staying close enough that we can hear each other. They were never lost as they knew how to get back to the truck and could see it the whole time that we were hiking but I like to keep everyone close. I guess they have to spread their wings and have some learning experiences.

We took the easier way back to the truck down the road. LOL We had some pretty sore feet and tired children but they did amazing. Our little Stefan probably gets pushed more than a regular 3 year old but he loves it and there is always a certain older brother who he has wrapped around his little finger that is willing to piggy back him. (Darien is so sweet with him).

Our evening spent at the hot springs to relieve our sore muscles.

It was so great and we stayed there until we were completely water logged. The view of the mountains and the outdoors was amazing. It was very chilly when you got out of the water, so my head was the only thing that really stayed out of the water. LOL

The boys are a little more tough than me.

And the end of the day. What more can I say Stefan was too pooped to pop. LOL

These units that we stay in are really the best way to travel when you have kids. We have enough room for them all to sleep without being on top of one another. We bring all our own food to save on the cost. There is one grocery store but it is so expensive that we only like to have to buy milk if we need too. LOL

Our day two hike. We went to the hot springs water fall. This is a hike that we did two summers ago when we came to Fairmont. It was a lot warmer last time but it was still beautiful.

My boys. Really you wouldn't catch me walking across a long but my boys will do just about anything. Keagan is just starting to come out of his shell and try things that are a little bit more daring.

Darien has always been the daring one as you can tell by the pose.

We had a great weekend. This is the best way to spend a weekend outside and exploring. My boys are in heaven when they can play outside. Love It.

The Boys Take on Vegas

We are so lucky to have great friends that we can travel with as couples and families but also that love to get away for guys trips and girls trips. This time it was the boys with the grand adventure. LOL Jamie as always trying out the hotel bed. :)
Were else do you get to see a playboy bunny but in Vegas. LOL When Jamie showed me the picture I had no idea who it was other than the fact that it must be a playboy bunny. LOL I wonder how I can tell.

I thought for sure that they had made it to Paris on their little trip but no there is a ton of stuff fun things to see in Vegas. :)

This is their ride. I thought that it was pretty funny when they told me that they got a convertible. I could just picture Jamie's few hairs blowing in the breeze, Keith's bald head bobbing in the breeze and so the only one that really fit was Tyler with his full head of hair still. LOL

And there is the proof of Tyler and his hair. LOL

And look Jamie's hair didn't move at all. LOL

They took the car out to see the hover dam. Jamie said that it was pretty amazing.

Jamie said that it freaked him out looking over the edge, which I thought was a little crazy considering his love for flying. I don't' think you can get any higher than a plane.

For J's birthday present his brother bought him a helicopter tour over the dam. This is the view he got while up there.

Blog Update

Jamie informed me the other day that as he was reading my blog he sees a lot of spelling mistakes and other things and I have to apologize for this. As you can see I am not the best person at staying up to date with my blog, so when I have an evening free I will update until my eyes are blurry and because I am doing so many I don't really take the time to go back and re read them before posting. So all I can say is sorry for my poor English skills. I appreciate all of you that read my blog and please just love me for who I am and not for my poor grammar. :)
