Mountain Biking

Jamie had to work the long weekend, so the kids and I loaded up the bikes and took off to the River Valley for the day. It was so much fun exploring the trails. We ended up by the river.
And the boys had a lot of fun throwing the rocks in the water.

It was such a warm day that we all wished that we had our bathing suites so that we could have jumped in the water.

Stefan riding on the trail-a-bike.

One of our many stops. This one the boys were hunting grasshoppers.

While Darien practiced going down the hills at really high speeds. What a thrill seeker. LOL

Keagan is holding his pet. LOL I can't wait to do this again we had such a great time.

First Day of School

These are my handsome boys. Can you believe that they are all getting so big. As usual they were all very excited for school to start. I am so thankful that my boys enjoy school. I am really looking forward to this year. This is my last year before all my boys are at school. :(
Darien 12 years old starting grade 7.

Keagan 9 years old starting grade 4.

Rylan 6 years old starting grade 2.

I was so glad that Darien let me take him to class. I know that this will be my last year but at least he still isn't too cool for me. LOL

Rylan is such a good boy and this year is going to be great for him.

Keagan is the big man on campus this year being the oldest in the school. He is pretty excited about that. He is doing so well and we are so happy with how he is doing these days.

This is going to be a great year. Our boys have some wonderful teachers and I can't wait to see what this year holds for all of us.

Best Park Ever!!!

Our last couple of days after our little get away was spent with our family in BC and we went to the best park ever. It is just over the border in the US and it was the coolest park. They had all kinds of different buildings for the kids to play in.
I loved it and so did the kids. This slide house was so neat.

Our boys having a great time. It was the perfect day. The weather was amazing.

Spending time with the cousins too.

Rylan found his new friend in the little stream that ran right beside the park.

The boys had so much fun exploring and cooling off in the water.

Jamie making a big splash. LOL

Stefan loves to get dirty.

I love this picture. There is something about it that just makes me smile. Grandpa had been using the scooter but decided to stretch his legs and so Jamie took it for a little ride following him. Such good memories.

Stefan just hanging around.

The monkeys.

We had a wonderful summer, but after being gone for so long it sure was nice to come home and sleep in our own beds. Thank you to everyone that made this summer so great for us and for putting up with us in your homes.

Hoover Dam

We made our way to the Hoover Dam and it was amazing. I really never understood how magnificent this structure is. We found it all very interesting.
Again the only problem is that it was even hotter there. We felt like we were in an oven. Heat coming from the top and from the bottom. :)

This is the new bridge that they built. It was really neat to see.

After our great day at the dam we made our way back to do some final shopping. The M&M store was a real hit.

We had so much fun on our little get away. We are glad that our friends from Salt Lake were able to come and join us. It was a great little escape.

Surprise Vegas

While we were in BC we decided to take the older two boys to Vegas for a couple of days to see some of the sites and to take in a show. The boys were really surprised. This was the view from our room.
Our hotel. No we didn't see David Copperfield. It was a really nice hotel.

The boys even went on the New York roller coaster. I was a little nervous sending them but they loved it and they were a little shake afterwards but they had fun.

The view of the Vegas strip.

It was so hot. 43 degrees, way to hot for me. So we spent a lot of time in the pool. It was great because it was like a river and it was so relaxing.

The large lion in front of our hotel. They even had live ones in the hotel.

Keagan dreams of seeing the Eiffel Tower one day but this will have to do for now.

We had a great time watching the water show in front of the Bellagio Hotel. It was amazing. I wish that it was cooler at night but it really wasn't, I don't know how people can even live here. LOL We had so much fun taking the boys to a Cirque de Soleil show. They have the most amazing shows.

Temple Day

This was a wonderful day that we were able to spend with Darien and my mom. This was Darien's first time going to the temple. It was very special because my mom was there that day to. It is hard to believe that Darien is 12 already. Where has the time gone.
We are so proud of the choices that Darien is making and pray each day that he will continue on the path that he is on. He has a good head on his shoulders.

Spending the day morning with my eternal companion was so great and even better because our first born was with us. Great, great day. :)

Victoria

This was our last day in on the Island and it was great. We went into Victoria to do some walking around, enjoy the sunshine and some good fish and chips. LOL The boys really enjoyed walking and looking at the house boats. One day they all said that they would have one. :) Darien enjoyed watching the little water taxi's.
We even got to enjoy a little bit of the street performers.

J got called up to encourage the crowds because everyone loves a pretty lady. :)

Stefan got called up to be the assistant and he was pretty excited. He even got paid $5.00. He thought that was great. LOL

Of course everyone needs a good ice cream cone on a hot day.

Taking the water taxi back.

On our way back to the mainland. This was such a wonderful few days spent with my brother and his family. Thank you P and J for a great time and we can't wait for Christmas. Love you all.
