Day Seven - Or Final Days In Salt Lake

Ok, really how could you resist such a face. LOL
This was our time spent at the Bingham Canyon Mine. This is one huge mine that can be seen from outer space. It is amazing.
These are the large tires that the dump trucks use. You can't even imagine how big these trucks are.
Our last supper with our dear friends. This was such a great trip to Salt Lake. All the kids had such a great time and so did we.
It was great to see Jamie and Mike together after so many years. We love this family very much and look forward to seeing them again soon.
So many great memories. Thank goodness for the blog that help us to remember all the great times.

Day Seven - Camping

We were invited to go to the Goldhardt's ward camping out. In the mountains just outside Park City. So we loaded up in their little camper with a tent and off we went. Here is our set up. So cute. LOL

Darien was so proud of his camp fire building.

And even prouder when it worked and stayed lit.

We are all chowing down on our tin foil dinners.

All the kids slept out in the tent. They looked pretty cute all snuggled together. LOL

Everyone one was in there until a huge storm came through the sound of the rain was intense and the thunder rumbled through the mountains. It was amazing, so Jamie ended up trading places so that there was one adult in the tent for those that got scared. It was a great time.

Day Six - No Trail Hike

All our boys ever want to do is go for a hike were there is no trail. It might sound funny but they love it. So here they are on their way.
The went up a mountain just outside Salt Lake. I think that they like feeling like explorers. LOL Here is just one more picture for the wedding. LOL Darien and Miss A. Enjoying the view.
Keagan loves being counted as one of the big kids now. It is hard to believe that we are getting to that point were all the kids will soon be able to do this fun activity.
Thank goodness for water packs. It was a super hot day.
Jamie getting in on the picture.
The hike down. They were pretty excited when they got home to tell us how high up they went. I am thankful that Jamie is willing to take them on these adventures.

Day Five - Raging Rapids

This was our fun filled day at a water park. At one point it actually started to rain so some of the kids got a little cold and took cover under the towels and tubes. It was pretty cute. Stefan and Rylan just chilling.
I love these pictures, they are so cute.
Once the sun came out it was roasting hot. Keagan is trying to get in a little bit of shade time.
Mike was a good sport and took all the little ones on the lazy river.
The big boys loved going across the obstacle course. It was so much fun to watch them.
All the kids had a great time playing and sliding. What a great day.

Day Four Temple Trip/Canyon Hike

The amazing Dopp family offered to take care of all our kids so that we could go to the temple with the Hansen's we were so excited. Sadly when we got to the temple we were disappointed to discover that it was closed for cleaning for two weeks. Really what are the chances of that. We were very sad so instead we took the time to go to the church book store and enjoy some shopping without our kids.

We then made out way to the most amazing buffet. Jamie was in buffet heaven. We went to a place called Chuck-O-Rama. The name should really turn you off of eating there but really it was the best buffet that we have ever been too. LOL After we made our way over to a bakery outlet. As you can see in the picture Mike and Jamie really needed it. LOL
After our adventures for the morning we went back to the Dopps to get ready for a hike in the canyon. It was so beautiful. The kids loved playing by the river.
We had some really yummy food and even roasted some marshmallows.
After dinner it was time to work off all that yummy food. We were trying to make it to elephant rock but didn't make it all the way as it was starting to get dark but the views were amazing.
All the kids did amazing. It was great to hike and enjoy some time outside. There is nothing I love more than being outside with my kids and enjoying the fresh air, plus they always sleep better when they have worked out all their energy. LOL What a great day with great people.

Day Three Park City

This was such a fun day. We made out way to Park City which is in the mountains. During the winter there is amazing skiing but in the summer they have these really cool slides. If you grew up watching Sesame Street you will remember right at the beginning they show people sitting on these sled things down down a slide well that it what we did and it was so cool. This was our journey up the gondola to get to the top of the slide.
Behind us is Mike, Joseph (his son), his daughter Ashley and Darien (aren't' they cute how they are sitting on the other side. This is another wedding that we are planning for LOL)
Following close behind are the Hansen's. I love little K's expression. It was so cute.
Pulling our sleds to the slide.
Let's practice breaking. We had to control our own speed so the kids practiced. I don't have any pictures going down because I was having too much fun. :)
After we made out way over to the Coaster. This was really cool. Darien was big enough to drive his own again so Rylan went with him, Keagan and Jamie went together and then Stefan and I. It was great because you would ride on your coaster to the top and then again you would have control of how fast you could go. It was so much fun and we laughed all the way down.
Stefan before loosing his hat. I managed to grab it before it was gone forever. LOL
D and R following close behind.
Of course you can't go to Park City without hitting the outlet stores but really this was so much fun.

Day Two Exploring Salt Lakes Attractions

Today was a very fun day. We were able to meet up with one of Jamie's companions from his mission in the Czech Republic. He, his wife and five children live in Salt Lake. We made out way to the new Church History Museum were the boys had a great time dressing up and role playing.
We then made our way to the beautiful infinity pool in front of the Salt Lake Temple. This is all the children. It was great because all the kids had someone their age to play with. We all had our kids with in 6 months of each other and they all got a long great.
All the kids lined up in front of the temple.
We love family pictures.
It was such a hot day that the kids just couldn't resist putting their hands in the water of all the fountains.
We then made out way over to the new conference centre and that was amazing. We did a roof tour but by that time it was crazy hot so we didn't hang out there for very long.
After that fun filled day it was time to head back to the Goldhardt's for a night of fire works because of the July 4th celebrations. The kids had a great time.
Stefan really liked the fireworks because it meant that he could sit beside his friend Kate. They were so cute. I love the look on his face in this picture.
He really liked Kate. LOL Yes is was his first kiss he just needs more practice as to were you kiss a girl, some might not like it in the ear LOL. We are already planning the wedding. LOL
