Kindergarten Graduation

This is one of the sweetest days as a mother, Kindergarten Graduation.
I have been so blessed to have four amazing boys and I have been able to go to all four graduations when they have moved up from being so little to so big.  I have been to all four at the same school with the same feeling of excitement for them as they look forward to what their school years have in store for them.  Stefan is my last one to have this experience and it was so wonderful.
Sitting with all his little class mates.
 Greeting the Principle Mr. Gamache.
Mrs. Witherspoon the EA in the class room.
 And his teacher Ms. Strap.
They thought it was so funny when they got the throw their hats at the end.  LOL
My boy was lucky to have Ms. Clancy for the majority of the year while his other teacher Ms. Strap was on medical leave.  She was such an amazing teacher.
One of his best buddies, who we found out will be in his class again next year for grade one.  Yay!
Ms. Strap his other teacher who he really only had for a couple of months but she did a great job.
Mrs. W who is the EA in the classroom.  She was so great and has been a part of all of my children's lives since the very beginning with Darien.  So fun that she has seen them all grow up.
I am so proud of this boy.  It is hard to believe that he is growing up so quickly.  He is so full of life and lives it to the fullest and I hope that never changes.  We love you Stefan.

Fieldtrip to the Zoo

Final year end field trip with Stefan to the zoo, was so much fun.  We all managed to squeeze onto the train for a ride.
Stefan riding the merry go round.
And posing in front of the sea lion tank.  It was such a beautiful day to be at the zoo.
It little group of friends in the dinosaur exhibit.
And doing some exploring around.  I love being able to be a part of all these wonderful memories.

Lacrosse Tournament

This was Stefan's last weekend for playing lacrosse.  He is such a little go getter when it comes to playing this game.
He is very competitive and not really one to back down.
He played really well this year and of course can't wait for next year.
He really works up a sweat playing and he was so happy to receive a medal.  Such a great weekend.

Parade Day

Welcome to living in a small town were we celebrate Farmers Day.  LOL
Every year we have a parade and activities on this weekend in our small town.  I wasn't there as Stefan had a lacrosse tournament this weekend but Jamie took the other boys and their friend.  It was great to see Darien marching with his Cadet Squadron.
Of course the boys favorite part was getting all the treats and candy that gets tossed from the floats.  And getting wet from the fire fighters at the end.  LOL

Biking the River Valley

I LOVE riding my bike.  I am pretty sure that I was meant to live in Amsterdam.  LOL  Where every one rides their bikes but alas I live in Canada.  That doesn't stop me from riding my bike every where in our small down.  If I can ride there I will over driving anytime.  :)
Jamie and I had taken our bikes to a new locations just a couple of weeks ago and so I decide that I would take the boys the next time they had a day off school.  So here we are exploring the ravine.  And stopping for a drink.
I love the fact that they are all riding bikes now and that we can do this type of day trip.
Mr. K loves being in the bike trailer and is happy to come along for the ride.
We stopped for some fun at the river to throw rocks and sticks in the water.
Just like his dad he has to find the biggest rock to make the biggest splash.  LOL
Keagan tends to go for height.  LOL
Stefan goes for speed.
And we all get a little wet and very dirty.  LOL
This was a great way to spend the day with the boys.  Darien and Jamie weren't with us they were out taking their first flying lessons as Jamie prepares to get his private pilots licence.

Tornado Scare

Living in Alberta there is always that possibly that one day we will see a tornado and today was one of those scary days.  Jamie and I were at home when we looked out the window and saw these clouds forming.  I am sure that the pictures just don't do it justice but the sky was amazing.
We then got a phone call from his brother in Winnipeg asking how we were because there was a tornado warning in our area.  We had no idea but once we turned on the tv we make very aware.  It was right at the end of the school day so we weren't sure if we should go and get the kids from school or not.  In the end we did.
The schools were full of parents getting their children and bringing them home.  They had actually just locked down the schools about 15 min before we got there as the threat was so great.  They had also done a lot of tornado drills with the children having them line up in the hall ways on their knees, heads against the wall with their hands over their heads.  I am so thankful that nothing ever touched down, we did have a wicked storm come through.  Thankfully this doesn't happen every day, but thankfully we know what we need to do if it ever happens again.

Grade 8 Grad!!!

Ok, so were has the last 8 years gone?  Is it really time for Darien to move up to high school and the next stage of life?  I am not sure I am ready for this.
Tonight was his Grade 8 graduation.
They had a group picture taken and then they had a presentation for them to walk across the stage and receive a certificate for completing grade 8.
Darien getting his from his home room teacher Mr. Berg.
It has been a good year for Darein full of ups and downs but he managed to survive and so did his teachers.  LOL
Darien and his friends digging in to eat.
The group.
Best buddies with their teacher.
What a goof.  For decorations they each got to write their names and decorate them.  I had to take a picture of Darien with his.  LOL
The cheesy smile and the mom really enough pictures already look.  LOL
Way to go Darien.  We love you!
