Living in Alberta there is always that possibly that one day we will see a tornado and today was one of those scary days. Jamie and I were at home when we looked out the window and saw these clouds forming. I am sure that the pictures just don't do it justice but the sky was amazing.
We then got a phone call from his brother in Winnipeg asking how we were because there was a tornado warning in our area. We had no idea but once we turned on the tv we make very aware. It was right at the end of the school day so we weren't sure if we should go and get the kids from school or not. In the end we did.The schools were full of parents getting their children and bringing them home. They had actually just locked down the schools about 15 min before we got there as the threat was so great. They had also done a lot of tornado drills with the children having them line up in the hall ways on their knees, heads against the wall with their hands over their heads. I am so thankful that nothing ever touched down, we did have a wicked storm come through. Thankfully this doesn't happen every day, but thankfully we know what we need to do if it ever happens again.
