Tornado Scare

Living in Alberta there is always that possibly that one day we will see a tornado and today was one of those scary days.  Jamie and I were at home when we looked out the window and saw these clouds forming.  I am sure that the pictures just don't do it justice but the sky was amazing.

We then got a phone call from his brother in Winnipeg asking how we were because there was a tornado warning in our area.  We had no idea but once we turned on the tv we make very aware.  It was right at the end of the school day so we weren't sure if we should go and get the kids from school or not.  In the end we did.

The schools were full of parents getting their children and bringing them home.  They had actually just locked down the schools about 15 min before we got there as the threat was so great.  They had also done a lot of tornado drills with the children having them line up in the hall ways on their knees, heads against the wall with their hands over their heads.  I am so thankful that nothing ever touched down, we did have a wicked storm come through.  Thankfully this doesn't happen every day, but thankfully we know what we need to do if it ever happens again.

Grade 8 Grad!!!

Ok, so were has the last 8 years gone?  Is it really time for Darien to move up to high school and the next stage of life?  I am not sure I am ready for this.

Tonight was his Grade 8 graduation.

They had a group picture taken and then they had a presentation for them to walk across the stage and receive a certificate for completing grade 8.

It has been a good year for Darein full of ups and downs but he managed to survive and so did his teachers.  LOL

What a goof.  For decorations they each got to write their names and decorate them.  I had to take a picture of Darien with his.  LOL

Swimming Fun

Swimming fun with Daddy and Stefan.

Puddle Fun

We have had a lot of rain this spring and we have the perfect puddle that forms every time on our drive way were it has sunk down just enough that it gets pretty deep.

After a good rain you will often find these three out there playing and splashing in this puddle.

I don't even mind the extra laundry that this makes because this is what being a child is all about.

This is just one of those random pictures that I had to take of the boys.  Rylan and Stefan play together quit often and this was one of those time that I thought it was so cute.  Yes Rylan is leaning back on Stefan's legs while they play their ipods together.  LOL

There are days when they can't stand each other but for the most part they are best buddies.  Love these boys.

Getting Soooo Big!!!

Our sweet Mr. K is getting so big.

It is hard to believe that he has been with us for 7 months already.

We are not sure what the future holds for this little guy but for now he is ours and we love him to bits.

Outside Fun/New Trampoline

It feels so nice to be able to play outside again after a very long winter.  And boy do our boys love being able to run and play in the fresh air.  Even Mr. K loves it.

This was his first time in the swing and he was happy to sit there and watch all that was going on.  So cute.

This year we decided it was time to buy a new trampoline for the boys.  The last one we had was the one that they had saved up for by collecting bottles and cans for a year.  It has been great for the last 7 years but it was was starting to fall apart and the outside netting was completely gone.

Also, with three of the boys being in tramp and tumble gymnastics we thought it would be great to have something a little bit more durable.

This one will last us for yours to come and boy is it bouncy.  LOL  You can get some serious double bouncing going on.  :)
