Getting Ready/BC
After our little get away it was time to get ready to head to BC. We didn't even have time to unpack. I did laundry and then it all got packed back in the suite cases. There is a lot of stuff to take with 6 people in our family and we were gone until the end of Aug. As you can see Jamie is doing a great job helping out by supervising. LOL
For the first time in a long time we actually saw bears on our trip through the mountains. A mom and her two cubs. The boys were so excited.

Mom and Dad are Gone Lets Have Some Fun!!!
As had been tradition the kids went to spend a week in Winnipeg with Uncle Tyler and Auntie Michelle. They of course had a wonderful time. They sure do know how to keep them busy. They spent time at the the lake with Uncle John and Auntie Pam (we adopt a lot of family LOL)
It was off the track another day. The boys always look forward to going out and driving around the track.
The bumper boats are always a hit and a little bit wet. LOL
Love all the padding that they used to get Stefan to reach the peddles. LOL
I bet this was a great ride for Rylan with Uncle John. :)

Black Sands Beach
I have lost some of the pictures from our wonderful trip to Maui but that is ok as I am sure that I have plenty of pictures to share. LOL This was the most wonderful day. We drove along the most beautiful drive in America. It took us all day and it was great. When we finally stopped it was at the black sands beach. It was so amazing to see this sand and how black it really was.
There were some really neat caves that we could explore.
This is one place that I wouldn't feel to comfortable letting the kids explore as there are holes all over the place and it made me a little nervous but the views were amazing.
After exploring the beaches we made our way to some beautiful waterfalls. That is one of the main things that Jamie wanted to make sure that he saw.
This was the coolest hike. The vegetation was so diverse it was amazing. I would love to take the kids back here. This area of the hike made us think of hobbits and that they would live in a place like this. LOL All the roots from the tree were so neat.
Stopping for a group picture. Amazing.
The Banyan trees was so neat. I have never seen anything like them. They just keep growing.
This was my favorite part. We walked for about 45 min. through a bamboo forest. AMAZING. All you could see was bamboo, nothing else. At some points it was so tall and thick that it was like we were hiking at dusk, it got so dark.
The pictures don't do it justice but it was so cool.
This was the view as the end of the hike. The most amazing water fall.
I have never seen a water fall as tall as this one. It was so neat the way that it was set in a crater from the volcano.
After our long hike and getting a little over heated we hiked back down and then made our way to the seven sacred pools. These were continuous pools all connected by small water falls. It was nice to cool off.
The views along our drive were so beautiful. We decided to drive all the way around the island and we are so glad that we did.
This was by far the best part of the whole trip. GR who we were travelling with had this great book called "Explore Maui" and it gave you all these great places to stop and see. It had some things that everyone did and some that were a little bit off the beaten path and this was one of these. I don't remember what it was called but it had all these huge boulders on it and every time a wave would crash on them it made the sounds of a thunder storm and it was so neat. I loved it and could have sat there all day. It was so amazing to me to see no sand just huge boulders crashing together.

Precious Moments
Maui Day One
This was the start to a wonderful 5 days with our dear friends. We were able to go to Maui while our boys were in Winnipeg with Jamie's brother Tyler and wife Michelle. Thanks guys for another wonderful week of mommy and daddy time. :) This was day one exploring our resort.
We stayed at two different resorts and they were both amazing.

Brothers From Another Mother Except Two LOL
This was a picture that I just had to share. This was from our cruise way back in March and I love this picture. These boys are all such great friends that we (their wives) thought that it would be really fun to buy them all matching shirts. We didn't tell them that we had them but said that we wanted to show their new shirts to the other families. They were all very surprised when they came down. Classic. LOL
