Fabulous Weekend
This was a wonderful trip. Our third annual Vancouver Sun Run weekend. This is a weekend that we have all really come to look forward to. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends that I can spend this time with and we are all blessed to have supportive husbands that give us this time away. At usual we stay at my moms house. This year we were pretty excited to head over the border the first day for some retail therapy. This is everyone enjoying a picinic lunch in my moms van.
We were very blessed with the opportunity to go to the new Vancouver Temple. It was beautiful inside and out.
It is hard to believe that there is a temple now so close to were I grew up. Gone are the days of full day trips to go to the temple. My mom is so excited and I can really see why. We had a very enjoyable evening and then headed out for a late dinner.
The next day we were on our way to Vancouver for our over night stay. This year we stayed in a different hotel and we were very happy with the room.
This if the view from my bed. What an amazing view of the North Shore moutains. The lights at night were so neat to see.
After doing some exploring down town we were off to a great sushi restaurant. We enjoyed our meal and the novelty of cooking our own food right on our table.
This was a very serious weekend and we were totally focussed. LOL
Great friends with great food. I know I have said before but I will say it again. Life is great!!!
We loved our hats. It was the best way to keep track of each other during the run. We were all very happy with our times this year each beating our times from last year. Next year will be even better.
This year the race fell on mothers day and it was great to actually be able to spend the day with my mom. I am very blessed to have my mom and she really is the greatest mom. I was happy to finally be able to buy her a gift for this special day instead of just a phone call and a card. Here we are putting her two new patio chairs together. I can't wait to go back and visit just to sit on these comfy chairs. Thanks mom for opening your home to us again this year and driving us around all over the lower mainland. LOL
