Darien is Flying

As many of you may know, Darien has always wanted to learn to fly.  Well he his finally doing it.  This is his first take off for his first lesson.

He was so excited to finally start.  He as been working hard at McDonald's to save up enough money for his lessons.  This is his instructor.

Coming in to land.  He loved it and I am sure completely hooked.  :)  Way to go Darien!!!

Camping May Long Weekend

We bought this little trailer last year.  Stefan is our one who love to camp so we had to find something that our van could pull.  Jamie had a friend at work selling this cute little trailer so we thought we should take it.  Once the weather was nice I decided to take the boys camping for the May long weekend.

We didn't go too far but we sure had fun.  It was just me and the younger two. 

We managed to pull it out to the camp ground and set it all up by ourselves.

We are so cute.  LOL  We had a great couple of nights. 

Jamie came out for the day with the other two and his mom.  There is something so fun about being outside and away from it all.  The trailer worked out perfectly and we are so glad that we bought it.  Can't wait for this summer when we can use it some more.

Lacrosse

Stefans turn to play lacrosse.  He loves to try everything.  He loves to run and be outside, that is when he is in his happy place.  LOL

Happy 70 Birthday Mom

This has been in the planning for a few months now.  We thought that it would be great to really celebrate moms 70 Birthday and I think we did a pretty great job. 

Mom had no idea that we were doing this for her.  I flew in and we even managed to get David up for it also.  So Friday was spent doing all the running around.  Saturday morning we decorated Susan and Karl's house. 

We invited a lot of her close friends plus some from the past.  Everyone arrived at bout 5:00 and mom was scheduled to come to Susan's house for her dinner at 6:00.  It actually worked out perfectly because her best friend Maggie had arrived a couple of days earlier so she was here for it also.

This was her reaction to everyone being there.

Then her reaction once she realized that it was David that had opened the door.

They don't get to see each other very often. It was so sweet.

Maggie was just as surprised because we had no way to get a hold of her ahead of time to tell her.

Then she moved on to everyone else.  :)

There are so many people that love our mom.

And we were so thankful that they took the time to come by and celebrate her life with us.

It was wonderful because everyone brought something to share so there was a lot of wonderful food.

It was a beautiful day so we spent a lot of time outside on the deck.

Mom is still visiting with everyone.

It was so lovely.

Happy Birthday to the most amazing mom.  You have always been there for me.  There are no words to tell you just how much I love you.  You are strong, inspiring, and an example of living the gospel.  You have always shown me the right way but allowing me to learn things the hard way too.  I am the person I am today because of you and dad.

We didn't want to make you blow out 70 candles.  LOL  After the cake we sat everyone down to show them a like show that we had made of mom and her life.  My friend Robin made it and it was amazing.  There wasn't a dry eye but there was also so much laughter.  I loved it and I know mom did too.

Happy Easter

It is Easter.  This was the best picture we could get with Mr. K  LOL

It's A Party

It was Keagan's 12 birthday on March 11.  We were not able to have his party that weekend so we had to wait for a little bit but it finally did happen.  He invited a few friends over for pizza.

We then made our way to the gymnastics clubs where they were able to let off a whole lot of steam. 

The played a game of capture the flag.

And then it was time to test their nerve.  The kept making the structure taller and taller.

They all had a turn.
