Bike Ride to Victoria

Today we decided it would be fun to ride out bikes into Victoria.  My brother lives about 20 km from downtown so off we went.  About half way there, we stopped at this great mountain bike park for the boys to play at.
They had a great time until Stefan fell.  He was really brave and got right back on and finished the course.
Rylan giving it a try.
This is our group.  I was so proud of the younger boys for making it there and back.  Back was a little slow going for Stefan as his little legs sure got tired.  But they all made it home.
We even managed to squeeze in a movie at the IMAX while we were there.  Mom met us there as she could not do the ride.  It was a great day and the boys were super stars for riding all that way.

Park Fun and Vancouver Island

We have a favorite park that we like to go to in Lyden Washington.  It is about 20 min. south over the border.  It is beautiful with an amazing play ground and a stream running right beside it.  There are these beautiful trees that give so much shade.  We love to just go and hang out there for the day as there is something for everyone to do.
The boys spent most of the time in the water.
Looking for treasures and wasp nests.  LOL
Both of which the managed to find.  LOL
Then it was off to the ferry.  We made our way over to Vancouver Island for a couple days visit with my brother and his family.
We did a hike that the boys love.  It ends up at the water where they spend hours exploring.  I love this picture of all the kids.  Cousins included.
Rylan found jar that he was determined to fill up with crabs and anything else he could find.
My sweet baby.  Don't be fooled by that cute face.  He can hold his own.  LOL
Keagan and his cousin had to boulder along the rocks and explore.  They had a great time.
Kristina even came along.
I love this picture of the two of us.  It is hard to believe that Kristina is growing into this beautiful young women.
I wasn't sure if he would be able to make it back up.  LOL
My brother, his son and Jamie enjoying the view.  :)

Seattle Boeing Field

I love being a mother to boys.  Sometime I wonder what it would have been like to throw a girl into the mix but at the end of the day I like being the one and only.  LOL  Here we are doing what my some of my boys love best.  Exploring planes and WWII History at Boeing Field in Seattle.
This is the first ever 747 to fly.
This was the main reason for going this day, because this plane is not often open for people to walk through.
The cock pit.
I am pretty sure Darien took this picture.
The boys seeing inside Air Force One.
Even Stefan enjoys this stuff.  LOL
These are my Big Studs.  LOL  Keagan is into every thing WWII related so he loved exploring all the plane from that time.
This is a pretty nice museum and a great way to spend the day with my boys.
Stefan practicing his skills.  LOL
One day Darien will be a pilot and we will look back on these pictures and laugh.
We then made our way to Payne Field in Everett Washington.  This is were they build all the really big planes.  We saw 747, 777 and 787.  It was neat to see all these huge planes all lined up.
Doing their plane spotting.
It is so much fun to fuel a passion with in your children.  Darien is so passionate about flying and we love being able to encourage that.  He eat, sleeps and dreams about flying.  Everything he watches has to do with flying.  He is his fathers son.  LOL
We were pretty excited to see a big one land.

Temple Day and White Rock

Today we had the opportunity to go to the Vancouver Temple.  It was so wonderful to be in this beautiful building.
After a lovely morning, we then moved on to a lovely day of hanging out at the beach in White Rock.
A day at the beach is made even better with skim boards to try out.
They all had so much fun playing in the water and sand.
Stefan even tried for the first time.
He managed to jump on .
Eric giving it a try.
Darien giving Stefan some tips.
Running to catch up.
And he's on.
Amber showing us his moves.
Darien the old pro.
Our hang out spot.
Rylan even manged to do some sweet moves.  This was so much fun and we really enjoyed sharing some of favorite things with the Accorda family.  This was our last day with them as they are heading home tomorrow.

Biking the Sea Wall

As always it wouldn't be a trip to the Vancouver without the a day of biking the Sea Wall.
This will never get old for me.
I will continue to do this every summer that we go.  Darien is with us just not in the picture.  He decided to see how many times he could go around in our once. I think he made it 7 times round.  He was so excited to use his new street bike that he just bought with his own money.
Under the Lion's Gate Bridge.
Rylan watching the tide come in.
After a beautiful day at Stanley Park we made our way Granville Island for some exploring.  It was a long day but a ton of fun.
