Happy Easter

It was so nice to be home in BC for Easter this year.  One very good reason was the lack of snow.  LOL  But really just being able to be with family was so great.  The Easter Bunny hard at work. ;)
Let the hunt begin.  LOL
We were very rustic this year with no buckets.  They were actually using the hoods on their sweaters to collect the eggs.  LOL
Keagan managed to find a basket.
Then it was time to try and fly some kites.  That didn't last long before they were off and playing at the park.
They never get tired of playing at the park.  Here Uncle David is helping one of the boys that got stuck.  LOL
You would think that he would look happier playing at the park but alas.  You never know what is going on in his little head.
Swinging fun.  The was a great way to spend spring break.  We sure missed Darien but he had a great time on his trip too.

Knotts Berry Farm

So today we spent the day at Knotts Berry Farm.  I have never been before so I was really looking forward to it.
Everyone came along and we were all really excited for the rides.  LOL  Not really.  I am not really a ride person and sadly since Jamie's accident his body can only handle so many.
Starting with the bumper cars is always a great way to start.  We got to the park just as it was opening and so there was hardly any lines for the rides which was great.
I must be honest.  When Stefan went on his first roller coaster I was pretty freaked out.
Stefan and Rylan wanted to try every single ride.  The rest of us were a little bit more low key.
We even managed to get the Grandma's on one roller coaster.  LOL  As you can see they are holding on tight and holding onto the small children.  LOL  So much fun.
Just in case you were wondering were we went.  LOL  We have a our pictures with the sign.  LOL
Even Mr. K had to get in on the action.
This was a crowd pleaser.  Just the right speed for the Grandma's.  LOL
They waited a long time to be able to be on the top.
Mr. K and I going for a ride on the train.  Just our speed. ;)
Such a funny boy.
This was a really cute ride and the last one the went on for the day.
As you can see from Stefan's expression.  You actually had to pump it to make it go.  LOL  He was in it to win it. LOL
Our little sausages.
I bet you had no idea Marylin Munro was so big.  We had a really great time in Palm Springs.  I enjoyed Knotts Berry Farm but been there done that now.  ;)

Swimming Time

Here we go... swimming for the first time.
And the verdict is...
Not so good.  LOL  He wasn't so sure about going in.
But after a little while he was happy to be in the water.
Of course the boys couldn't get enough of the water.  They swam every day.
Mom and daughter enjoying some swim time.
Catching some rays.
and reading a book.  Doesn't get much better than that.  LOL

Palm Springs

Well after the huge dump of snow that we just got.  It was time to make a break for some were warmer.  So it was off to BC we went for Spring Break but while we were there we hopped on a plane with boys and our moms and headed down to Palm Springs to really enjoy some warm weather.  Mr. K and daddy getting ready for his first plane ride.
He was pretty good and even managed to sleep for part of the flight.
We were so happy to finally arrive.  My sister and niece also met us down there to enjoy some girl time and shopping.
Day one included a hike in the most amazing oasis.  It was in a national park and it was so amazing because all the way around you was desert but then running through the desert is this stream/river and all around that are these amazing palm trees.
Kristina and Rylan climbing the cliffs.
Mr. K enjoying the warm sun.
Keagan lizard hunting.
The boys by the stream.  We even took our shoes and socks off to enjoy the fresh cool water.
Posing.
I have never seen anything so lovely as this little oasis.  It was so refreshing from the desert.  LOL
As you can see we are missing Darien from this picture.  He was away on an Air Cadet Camp which included him flying to Victoria BC, staying on the military base for a week and then taking the train home through the mountains.  He had a great time.
This is what it looked like at the end of the hike once you got out and away from that little river.
Cooling off our feet after a long hike.  But it sure was fun.  Thank goodness we had a lot to drink.

My Little Easter Bunny

I wish that this was what the Easter Bunny really looked like.  I think he is pretty darn cute.  LOL
Even with his little cotton tail.  You make a great Easter Bunny Stefan.  ;)

Crazy Snow!!!

Snow, snow go away!!  In all the years that we have been in Alberta I have never seen this much snow at the end of March.
This year we got a huge dump of snow and boy was that depressing.  Really by the time Easter comes it is nice to be able to do our hunt outside but there is no way that will happen this year.

Skiing Fun

Darien was able to be with us this day and this is the only group picture that I was able to get as every one is becoming so independent when it comes to skiing that I never saw them all together again until the end of the day.  LOL
It was a beautiful day for skiing with the sun shining it felt like spring.
We thought that this picture was really funny with Jamie and his floppy ears.  Rylan loves going down the big hills.
Stefan learning to turn.
Rylan is like an old pro.
This was one of the few glimpse that I got of Keagan for the day.
Rylan taking on the really big hill.  This picture just doesn't do it justice.
He has even mastered the T-bars.  He was asked to go with this boy as he was having a hard time and they both made it all the way to the top.
Stefan going on the t-bar for the first time.  He did great and then there was no stopping him.  No longer did he want to go on the  bunny hills.
Turning to come down the big hill.
Then he was set free to come down the rest of the way on his own.  So much fun.
