A Ride Through Paris

Jamie and I are always looking for an adventure, of course nothing too crazy.  We had so much fun in Amsterdam riding on the bikes that we decided to take the boys and tour around Paris that way.  The is on the underground going to get our bikes.
Stefan and Rylan by far had the sweetest rides.  LOL  These are tandem bikes were the child rides at the front.  So cool.
Again we were not disappointed.  It was so much nicer than walking and walking.  The bikes aloud us to see so much more of Paris and our guide was great.
The architecture was so different in Paris.  It is not what I thought Paris was going to look like, but it was beautiful.
Taking a break by the river to have our picture taken in front of the famous Notre Dam.
The famous Louvre Museum that we just didn't have time for.  Plus it is something that Jamie and I might go through but not our boys.  LOL
The main square of the museum.
A smaller replica of the Arc de Triomphe by the museum.
More of the beautiful buildings.  Love how they have the trees growing on their balconies.
This is right out of the movie Ratatouille.  Yes those are rats hanging in the window.  They used to be exterminators.
Now is that not a cool ride or what.
This was such an awesome day.  I wish they offered this in every big city.  LOL

Hello Paris

Now onto our next big adventure!!  Taking the bullet train over to Paris.  This train went so fast but what a great way to travel, room to move and stretch.
We were very happy with our accomidations in Paris as rented out this apartment for while we were there.  It was very cute.  Welcome to our kitchen.
Bedrooms upstairs.
Stairwell
Heading out to do some exploring.  We moved around Paris on the trams and trains it was so much fun.
Our first visit of many to the Eifel Tower.
More walking in the hot sun.

A Day in London

Here we are heading in to London for the day.
We got there just in time to watch a parade and the changing of the Guards.
Sitting on top of the wall enjoying the view and relaxing our feet.  LOL
These gates lead to the park just beside Buckingham Palace.
Buckingham Palace.  Things were a little bit crazy in London as this was two days before the Olympics were set to begin.
Enjoying a walk through the park.
Big Ben.
Westminster Cathedral
The Eye of London.  We didn't actually go on it but we did go to the park just under it and enjoyed some ice cream and the performance put on by the street performers.
We had some very tired little feet after walking so much.
It really was a wonderful day spent in London and we were all glad to get on the train to head home.

Last Day with Uncle Charlges and the Olympic Torch

I am beginning to think that I don't like "Goodbyes".  It has been so amazing to be with my family.  Of course the boys were sad to leave their donkey friends.  LOL
I wish that I had a better picture but this is the over 700 year old barn that my Uncle converted.  It is amazing.
Thank you to my Uncle Charles and Aunt Sheila for having us.  It was an amazing time down south.
We were lucky to be able to hold on of the official Olympic Torches.  The neighbours grandparent actually participated in the torch run and got to keep it so the boys were pretty excited to hold it.  What a great memory.

Windsor Castle

We went to see the Queen at Windsor Castle and she was actually there.  Of course she wanted us to come for tea and have cucumber sandwiches with her but we just didn't have time.  LOL
Uncle Tyler doing his tour.
Enoyin the views.

What a great picture. It was very hot this day.
The beautiful gardens around the tower.
It wouldn't be a trip to England without your traditional picture with the Queens Guard.  :)  Not sure that I could have stood there for that long with all those clothes on.  It was HOT.
We really enjoyed our afternoon of exploring Windsor and would have liked to have spent more time here but there just wasn't time.
Of course that didn't mean that we really wanted to come back to this.  LOL  Yes that is a ticket on the windshield and a boot on the wheel.  Unfortunately, Uncle Tyler had read the rates wrong so we didn't put enough money in the meter and this was the result with a $200 fine.  Not really a great way to end the day.  LOL  Uncle Tyler was pretty mad.  :( What can we say memories.  LOL
