Canmore

The next day we made out way to Canmore.  It was time to see the mountains that I love so much.  Here is our crew going for a walk along the river.
Can you tell he is my son?  LOL
This is a very child friendly walk.  A nice path and beautiful scenery.
I love this man so much.  He is my right had man, my rock and best friend.
I love all the memories we have together.
All of the children at the end of the hike.  A good looking group.
The leaders of all those children.  My best friend of 20+ years.  I love her and her new amazing fiance.
They found some great places to pose.
Keagan doing what he does best.  His planking.
After our hike we made our way to the new rec center in Canmore and boy was it amazing.  They have indoor rock climbing which the boys loved.  And what was even better was that it was all included in the family price for the centre.  Amazing!!!
Stefan showing us his moves.
Keagan going all the way.
Stefan and Ben bouldering.
The boys did so well.
It is hard to tell put Keagan is hanging from the ceiling.
Working hard.
Darien using those muscles.
To the top
and then coming down.
Here is Darien using the ropes.
This is hard work.
Afterwards it was time for some swimming fun. We will defiantly come back.  This was an amazing centre.

Sylvan Lake

We have been in Alberta for 14 years and this was our first time ever going to Sylvan Lake.  We decided to meet up with our friends for the day so that the kids could go swimming.
It is a nice lake considering it is in Alberta.  (There are very many nice lakes here)
Jamie, Tammy and Jim.  We enjoyed some very lovely weather.
The boys finally got in the lake.  Stefan and Ben showing us how tough they were.
I like the fact that the kids can walk out for so far.
Keagan and Liam.
Some of the kids spent a lot of time just sitting together and hanging out.  It is nice to just visit.
Darien help Olivia out as she was a little unsure.
Tammy's action picture of blowing bubbles.
Jamie chillin.  It was a great day.

Fire Works!!

When Jamie and I were dating we used to come down to Vancouver every year for their big firework competition.  It is a three night event where different countries compete.  This year because the kids are older we thought it would be fun to book a hotel for the night and come down with our moms to watch them.  It was a beautiful night
It can be a long wait but we managed to pass the time.
We staked our claim of some grass.  It can get very crowded with upwards of 300,000 people.
We were not disappointed.
They are truly spectacular.
Great way to spend the evening.
Even better was being able to walk back to our hotel room instead of fighting the traffic to get home.
Our amazing few from our hotel.
We were all a little tired when we finally did get home.
Perfect way to spend the afternoon just hanging out and chilling at my moms house.
Nothing like just hanging out.

Darien Flying Solo!!

I knew this day would come but I am no sure how prepared I was for it.  My oldest went flying today on his own.  I mean really when was it possible for a 15 year old able to fly on their own.
He can't even drive a car!!!
But he did it and he did it well.
He is well on his way to getting his private pilots license.
For now he has his student pilot license which means he can fly on his own or with an instructor.
This was a very proud daddy moment as they have been working on this together.
He loved every min of it.  Way to go Darien!!

Bike Tour

Today we did a bike tour of some of the farms out in Agassi.  It was about 25km and it was a supper hot day.  We stopped at some beautiful farms.
This was the grounds of one of the farms.
We got to pick blueberries.  I am not sure if we ate more than we took home though.  LOL
I am pretty sure I saw us all doing one for the cup one of our mouths.  LOL
They were huge blueberries.
As you can see Keagans hand is at his mouth.  LOL
We also stopped at a bean sprout farm. They were delicious.
All the different samples were wonderful.  This farm had all kinds of antiques.

We had to fill up our water packs several times  It was so hot that we couldn't drink enough.  It was a really fun day but we all had some very sore bums by the end of the day.  ;)
