Final Day

The bed and breakfast that they stay at has bikes that you can rent.  So today was the day.  I am so impressed that Rylan could actually ride that big one.  LOL
The hill was a little much for Rylan and Grandma
Heading to the airport to do a tour.
Not sure if any of you have ever seen the show Ice Pilots but it is a popular show here.  It is based on the company/family that runs Buffalo Airline in Yellow Knife.
Any way they did a tour of their hangar and had a great time.
These are the exact planes they have on the show.
Not sure I would want to be flying in one of these but it was cool that they got to look in one.
My boys love their planes.
Beautiful picture.
This is Mikey from the show.  He is the son of the owner and is on the show all the time.
Their ride home.  Look at that cute boy.
The it was off to do some canoeing on the lake.  The house boats are amazing.
This was such a great trip.  Rylan like all the boys loved his time with Dad on their father son trip plus grandma trip.  ;)

More Fun YK Day 2

Boys will be boys when it comes to climbing rocks.  LOL  Day two in Yellow Knife and there is always some where to explore.
I am pretty sure that is a bear print.  I am glad they only saw the print and not the real thing.
Grandma and Rylan enjoying the view.
The contest to see who can throw the biggest rock.
Look out bellow.
And that is bellow.  LOL
Long way down but he had fun climbing it.
An old mining cart.
The three of them having fun.
I thought that the next couple of pictures were really cool.  I love the blue sky and the old shaft in this one.
It makes you wonder how long this has been there for.
Lunch time at the Wild Cat Cafe.
Look out over Yellow Knife.
This is the highest point in town.

Yellow Knife Day One

As is tradition, Jamie likes to take each of the boys on a daddy son trip.  This time it was Rylan's turn to head up to Yellow Knife with dad to do some exploring.  This is their sweet accommodations.  Rylan liked the trundle bed idea.  :)  Jamie's mom was able to
While there they did some exploring and a small hike.  Rylan was excited to find this inukshuk.
Hiking the Ingraham Trail.
These water falls are so beautiful.
Who knew that it was this beautiful up North.
Rylan being the real man that he is had to jump into the water.
Looks a little bit cold but he was game.  LOL
The action shot
Quickly swimming to get out.  LOL
Can you say BRRRR...
All dried off and ready to go.
Cameron Falls is where Jamie always has to go when taking the boys.  They love it.

Mount Robson

Our trip over the mountains included a stop at Mount Robson.  It was so great to have such a clear day as usually the top of the mountain is covered by the clouds.
Cousin love.  LOL
This was once again an amazing summer spent with my boys.  We are so blessed to have had this time thanks to Jamie's job.  This was our final year of having the whole summer off for Jamie and I am so glad that we took advantage of this opportunity.  These are memories we will never forget.  Next summer we will be just like everyone else trying to squeak in some fun.  LOL

Can't Get Enough

My cousins from England arrived in BC just a couple of days ago after a very busy two week trip through the US.  They have joined us for a couple of days and then will be driving home with us through the mountains before flying home.  So we decided to introduce them to our favorite place.  Cascade Falls.
Jim and Jamie are trying to decide the best place to jump in.
Keagan even got in the mood and took the leap.
Darien is getting more and more adventuresome.  Here he is jumping from about 20 feet.
The all jumped together.  Jamie, Jim and Mara.
The water is so cool and refreshing.  This is a great way to spend a hot day.

Beach Fun

What treasures can you find under a rock?
Well, I am not too sure but my boys are always game for a search.  LOL  Keagan has found a crab.
Darien is still looking.
I hope one day my boys will look back on these photos and smile as they think about the fun they had.
Of course we have to have a comfortable spot to sit and watch them all explore.  This was a beautiful beach and we had a great day just enjoying the view.
The boys even ventured into the water for some more skim boarding.
Keagan getting the hang of it.
I could have sat here all day.  There really isn't anything I love more than the ocean and watching the waves.
Keagan and his beautiful plank.  LOL
Riding the log.  LOL
My baby is getting so big.  Look at that gap where there used to be a tooth.  LOL
This was an awesome day spent doing what we love best.  Being outside and enjoying the beauty.
