Quading and Ziplining

This was by far my most favorite day.  We really didn't know what to expect but we were very happy with the end results.  It started out with an almost two hour quad ride through a river and jungle up to the zip line location.  Once we got there we were served an amazing Costarican meal.
It was very warm this day and we were all a little bit sweaty.  LOL
Rylan is so adventuresome and was really looking forward to ziplining again.
Darien is like an old pro.  LOL
All geared up and ready to go.
Our boys.  This was so a fun experience for all of us.  And each of them have their own level of fear but it was great to see them overcome that fear.   :)
This was about half way through the course.  Tyler and Michelle didn't do it this time so Tyler was our official photographer.
On my way down the long line.
Our final line and all the boys got a little ambitious.  Rylan was the first to go.
I was suprised that Stefan did it but he was a superstar too.
Keagan was really funny watching him go down.
Darien was pretending to fly.
Jamie was very nervous.  A little concerned that he would fall out of his harness.
I managed to do it too.  I couldn't let my kids do it and me not.  LOL
Our friend the scorpion.
On our way back we did a small hike to some waterfalls.  It was so beautiful.  Everyone enjoyed taking a little dip.
My boys!!!
The large group of hikers.  LOL  It was so beautiful in the jungle.
I am so glad that we caught this on camera.  This is Jamie getting ready to go through the river.
This was the result.  LOL  That was a very major splash.  The boys had a ton of fun going through the river.
I did it too.
My splash wasn't as big.  LOL
On our way back this huge iguana was right in our path and our guide jumped off his quad and ran right into the river to grab it.  It was quit the show to watch.
All the kids wanted to get in on the action of holding her.
As you can see it was a little bit heavy.
Darien was a little nervous as you can see.  LOL
These guys were so great they even managed to let Stefan hold him
This was the end result after a wonderful day.  We all had so much fun!!!!!

National Park and Day at the Beach

This was our hike day through the national park.  I was very hot and it was a little hard going because we wanted to make sure that we had enough food and water to last us for the day because there was nothing to buy once we got to the beach.  We managed to make it but it was very slow going.  LOL
The boys were so happy to make it to the beach finally.  Everyones feet were a little sore and hot with a few blisters but the water sure felt great.
Keagan loves to play in the sand.  This is his castle for his hermit crabs.  There were hundreds of them.
This was the boys exploring in the rocks.  A favorite past time.  :)
Our little friends.  It was so neat to see the monkeys up close.  I mean really close and boy are they smart.
This was the one that stole our oreo cookies.  It was amazing to see how quickly the responded to the sound of packages being opened.  The even managed to open the zipper on our cooler.  We had to watch our food like hawks.  LOL
This was the perfect spot for us.  It gave us a little bit of shade to enjoy for the day.
Our family.  If we look a little tired we were and the day wasn't even over yet.  LOL  We had done a lot of walking already but it was a great day.
So instead of walking some more we decided to head to the other side and hit some of the big waves.
The adults having some fun in the waves.  :)
These are always my favorite pictures because it shows how much fun the kids are having.  Even when they are all covered in sand.  LOL
Rylan and Stefan loved getting malled by the waves.
After a fun filled day at the beach it was time to head home.  As you can see in this picture Rylan got a little red on the back.  Poor guy.
Everyone was very tired and all the kids took turns having little naps in the hammocks.
Or playing their games.
Ok not just the kids the adults too.
Peter was our official BBQer.  LOL As always he can cook a killer hot dog. ;)

Day One Costa Rica

This is a trip that we knew we were going to take the kids on.  We traveled with some of my most favorite people.  Tyler and Michell old faithful and for the first time ever by brother Peter, his girl friend Joy and his son Ethan came with us and it was great to have them.   Finally we are in Costa Rica and we stayed in the most amazing house.  It was a ton of fun.  This was a picture of our out door shower.

Our most amazing personal pool.

Our look out.  I really like this picture.  The boys spent a lot of time up on the look out playing and watching the coming and goings.  We even got to watch a soccer game there one night.

The view from on top of the look out.

Our out door eating area were we spent a lot of time.

Enjoying the warm air and hammocks was so wonderful compared to our cold winters in Canada.

Keagan was so excited to find a really coconut and to break it open.  It doesn't taste as good fresh but he had a great time breaking it open.

We spent so much time in the pool but not as much as the boys.  They were in there ALL day and it was great.  It was so nice to have it too ourselves and it was the perfect pool for us.

Our first dinner out was with an amazing view of the jungle.

Keagan eating his seafood soup.  It had everything in it.  I mean everything.  LOL  Even the squid and octopus.  What a super star.

I can't tell you how wonderful it was to have my brother and his family with us.
Our evening swims were my personal favorite.  With the bats flying around and all the different sounds of the jungle was so wonderful.

Keagan enjoying the view.  This was a great way to start our week.
