The Big Apple!!!

New York City, fun. Rylan was so excited that it was his turn for the daddy son trip and couldn't wait to get to New York. Taking the tour on the double decker bus. The best way to see New York.
Daddy and Rylan taking the ride.

In front of the many statues that you can find around New York.

Of course Rylan would want his picture taken with the guy. LOL

The best and cheapest way to see the Statue of Liberty. The Staten Island Ferry. LOL

Rylan was really happy to see the Brooklyn Bridge. He has seen it so many times in different movies. He can tell you all the history about it.

Having some down time. There is a lot of walking when you go to New York and he got pretty tired.

Off to see their Broadway show Spiderman.

Heading to China town.

Enjoying some free time in Central Park.

The street market that Jamie loves to go to whenever he is there.

This was their sweet ride to their next hotel. Sadly, it didn't stay looking that nice for long as Rylan puked in the limo right after this picture was taken. He wasn't feeling very well and had a really bad cough that normally we would give him an inhaler for but Jamie didn't take it with him. The next day they were getting ready to board the plan when Rylan puked again and of course they wouldn't let him board. Jamie ended up having to take him to the hospital. Apparently they were amazing at the hospital and they discovered that he was having a major asthma attack and the reason why he was puking was because his airway was closed so much. They treated him and he was feeling much better. Thank goodness for insurance, they paid for their flight changes, hotel and hospital fees. They had a wonderful trip and Rylan came home a very happy little boy. So many wonderful memories for my boys.

Exploring DC

In front of the White House. Rylan wanted to go in so bad. LOL

The Washington Memorial.

While they were in DC, a couple from Jamie's mission met up with them. Robert and his wife are living in New Orleans right now so they decided to come for a short little trip with Jamie and his mom. Robert and Rylan riding the merry go round.

The group in front of the state building.

I love this picture of Grandma and grandson just relaxing together. So cute!!!

A little bit more of the museum.

Everyone should go for a paddle boat ride. :)

Heading to New York on the train.

This was Rylan's big trip with Daddy and as is tradition their first stop was the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC. Rylan really enjoyed looking at all the different exhibits.

The out look tower with Daddy and Grandma Penni.

Rylan on the wind surfer simulator.

This was the first type of mini van that Jamie and I owned when after we got married. LOL Yes are that old. It was had been my mom and dads and then they passed it on to us. It was a pretty sweet ride.

In front of the Museum of History. They had a ton of fun their first day.

Super Flipper

Stefan is definitely the fourth boy. He does things that his oldest brother would never have done at the age of 4. Here he is showing off his super flipping skills.
Tuck and over.

The follow through. LOL

The fabulous finish. Such a pro. LOL

First Waxing LOL

This was a very fun night for me. LOL Darien asked me to wax his uni brow. So funny!!!!
Uncle Tyler was taking the pictures and said that I looked like I was having too much fun. LOL I think I was. :)

But he did survive and I didn't damage him too much. I can't wait for next time. ;)

Our Handsome Aircadet

This year Darien has decided to join aircadets and he is loving it.

I love having a man in uniform in our home. Darien is such a good kid. He is planning for his future already and is excited to one day have his pilots licence and knows that this is the best way to get it. It is a really great program and all the activities are right up his boyhood alley. LOL

So handsome. It is hard to believe how quickly time is flying. I can't believe that he is 12 already, but what fun it is. Keep up the good work Darien. We love you.
