A Day in Toronto

Today Jamie was able to go into Toronto to see one of his friends from work. He had a great time and it was nice to see were he would have been working had we chosen Toronto instead of Edmonton, but it also made him thankful that we are were we are, there is no way he could of handled the traffic everyday.

While Jamie was touring around Darien and Stefan were with his wonderful Aunt Pat and Uncle Paul at the Zoo. They had a great day exploring and playing.

After they all met up for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.

Stefan as a wild and a pretty cute looking one. They had the most wonderful day thanks to Aunt Pat and Uncle. Thanks for taking such great care of the boys.

Rock Climbing

It was so much fun hanging out with my two boys. Jamie was away with Darien and Stefan for the weekend in Ontario so it was a great opportunity for Keagan, Rylan and I to have some fun so we were off to do some rock climbing. Keagan just hanging around in the cave.
We picked the best day to go because our school was out for but all the other schools were not so we had the whole place to ourselves for the first two hours. Until a large group from one of the schools arrived and we knew it was time to go. ;)

It is hard to see him but Keagan is right at the very top. He did an amazing job climbing.

Rylan had more fun just running around but he did try a few times to do some of the bigger climbs and he did make it up half way but it was still a ton of fun.

We became pretty good at hooking up. I really enjoyed my time with my two boys. We were pretty tired after a few hours and then it was off to lunch and a walk through the toy store so that the boys could spend their money. This was such a great day.

It's Off To Toronto They Go

This was a great trip for Jamie and the boys. Here they are at the Toronto airport enjoying some yummy breakfast. This was a special trip for these two boys with daddy as the other two had been to Inuvik.

Finally arriving at Aunt Chris's house and Stefan was having a little visit with Great Grandpa Hazelwood. It is so great to see them together because we all know how quickly life can change. It has been two years since Great Grandma passed away so we are thankful for anytime we have with family.
It was very hot almost every day they were there and as you can see by Stefan's face he was working up a sweat. LOL
The boys had a great time playing in the little dirt pile by the door. They had all kinds of tracks going on. LOL

It has been a long time since I was last back in Ontario but this is one of our favorite places to visit. It is call the Sparta Mercantile. It is one of those neat stores that has all the interesting things that you just can't find any where else.

This is the log house that Great Grandpa built a long time ago. Sadly, he is no long able to live there on his own anymore due to some health issues but it was nice to go back to see it with all its memories.

Stefan was a little tired after such a long and busy day. :)

Final Band Concert

This is our last band concert for Darien. :( I am so sad because I tried to upload a video but it just doesn't want to work right now. Darien did really well in band but sadly he isn't going to take after me and stay in band but that is ok with me. I didn't want to nag him to practice all the time. LOL
The whole crew. I think that it was really important for him to take band but he is really looking forward to some of the other options next year that are more suited to what he likes. I can't wait to see all the fun things he will do next year. I am sure that the band will be a lot smaller next year. LOL I was such a band nerd when I was in school it just isn't the same any more. Oh well I had a year of listening to the joyful sounds from my son practicing. :) Until Keagans turn.

Track and Field

This was a very fun day for me. I was able to hang out for the day watching Darien and Keagan at their track meet. It wasn't the best day for running because of the small amount of rain that fell all day but it was still good. Keagan was in the ball throw.

Going To Provincials

About a week ago Darien participated in a qualifying track meet and he placed 1st in the 100m dash, 2 nd for ball through and 4th for long jump all with a very sore knee which means that he is going to Provincials which includes all of Alberta an NWT. We are so happy for him. He is quiet the runner. If he wins or places well in provincials there is a chance for him to fly to Pennsylvania to compete in a meet there. We just hope that his knee is better and for him to enjoy the experience of being involved in such an amazing experience, it will be so neat to see all the different kids. Way to go Darien.

Family Picinic

This is the fourth year that Jamie's work ha put on a family picnic were he works and it is the first time that the weather hasn't been very good. Thankfully it didn't rain but it was very cold and a little on the windy side, but of course that didn't stop the boys from playing in the bouncy castles.
One of these days Darien will be "to big aka cool" to play at the picnic so I will enjoy every minute of him still playing and having fun.

At one point our boys were the only ones on the obstacle course and they had a great time.

There was a very long line for the clown doing the balloons but Rylan waiting very patiently and got a fishing pole with a shark on the hook, it looked so cool.

Of course Stefan got a sword with belt, I am pretty sure that he got the same thing last year. LOL We had a great afternoon. Every year they have a draw for four bikes and last year Rylan won one and we were hoping to get a new one for Darien this year but sadly we didn't get one, but Rylan did win a $25 gift certificate for Toys R Us. He was so excited. If he wins again next year we might have buy a lottery ticket. LOL JJK
