Fort Lauderdale Pre Cruise

This was fabulous. We were able to go to Fort Lauderdale for a few days before leaving on or cruise and it was amazing. I loved every min. of it. After a long over night flight to Miami, our first day was spent with Stefan in Urgent Care because if an infection but after we got that taken care of it was much better. It took him a few days to get over it. We were also able to spend our first afternoon with Jamie's second mom and dad. Fank and Sherri are some amazing people that Jamie has been blessed to have in his life and now I feel just as blessed. This is Frank spending time with the boys swimming in the ocean.

The hotel that we stayed in was right on the beach with two pools. We spent our first day at this pool right on the beach, it had an amazing few of the ocean.

We had to wait for our room to be ready but really it wasn't that hard when we were spending our time by the pool and the ocean. Awesome.

We are so glad that we were able to spend just a few hours with Frank and Sherri, we wish it was more but are thankful for whatever we can get. They live in Nova Scotia so we don't get there very often. The last we were there was when Stefan was a baby, hopefully we will make it out there in a few year. This was a great start to our vacation.

Crazy Hair Day

This is always a fun day for the kids. Unfortunately, with boys there is only so much you can do. So different color stripes was what they got. I thought that it looked pretty funny.
Their hair was a little on the ragga side because it was right before they went to get their hair cut. It looked so much better after their hair cut. Rylan was really funny with his hair. The other challenge is that they have to still wear hats because of the cold weather but it survived.

I can't get over how much hair Keagan has so much hair. He really looks a lot better now. LOL I will try and be a little bit more creative next year. LOL We will see.

Amazing Brace Race

This was a really fun way to spend a Sat. afternoon. We enrolled in a race similar to the amazing race. It was put on my the orthodontist office that Darien is going to. It took place at West Edmonton Mall. We had two ours to solve 11 different clues. Some of the clues were a little challenging. This was our first clue.
This was one of the other clues. We had to stand in front of this store and take a picture. The boys did really well. The mall was crazy busy and at times the crowds were so thick that we couldn't get through. Jamie and I ended up sweating bullets with all the running that we had to do.

We were really happy with our finish time. We didn't come in first but we did come in 14 our of 41 teams and managed to complete all the clues which was really good considering that our kids were among the youngest. It was a lot fun. We missed having Keagan with us because he was at a birthday party but we will do it again next year.

Birthday Night

We have never done big parties for our kids, I really enjoy just being able to have some special family time. This year we decided to let Keagan have a friend over for his birthday and he picked his best friend M. They had a great time.
It was such a wonderful day and all the kids had a great time. For his birthday dinner Keagan chose to have pizza and for the first time in over two years we ordered in pizza. It was a nice treat.

Jamie even made the cake for Keagan and it was really tasty.

Present opening time. Keagan has had his share of challenges over the past year and with some help we have been able to work through them. It hasn't always been easy but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. He has such a sweet and sensitive spirit. He is so loving and caring. I love all his hugs and kisses that he shares. What a wonderful addition to our family. I am so blessed to have him in my life.

My Lucky Charm

My Keagan is now 9 years old. What a special day this was. Keagan is such a joy. I was so excited to be able to make him these special cupcakes for his class at school. It was so much fun. I love the green marbling in the cupcakes.
I really feel lucky to have each of my boys in my life. Keagan has really come a long way this year and it is great to finally see him coming back to who he really is.

Here is my handsome boy with his glasses. He looks so cute with his new glasses. We had no idea that he needed them until we took him for his yearly check up. He had no idea that things were supposed to look different but now he is seeing clearly. :)

Bridges

I love being able to do field trips with the kids classes. This was an in school field trip that I was able to help out with. Keagan has some great teachers and they organized a lesson on building bridges. They got to build four different types of bridges, I was in charge of supervising the suspension bridge. It was a great way to spend the morning.

Blackmail

I just couldn't resist. Really this will be one picture for his wedding video. LOL This was our first appointment to the orthodontist. Darien will need braces but for now we just wait for the rest of his baby teeth to fall out. I was so happy that I had my camera in my purse. LOL
