Family Picinic

Every summer Jamie's work puts on a family picnic and it is always a ton of fun. This year was no exception. They had these great sumo suits and of course my boys were right in there. It almost fit Darien. LOL
It wasn't even close to fitting Keagan. LOL

And Jamie just made it look perfect. LOL The funniest thing was that once they were down there was no way that they could get back up. With the suits on they weighed a ton. LOL Keagan was so excited when Jamie said that he would take him on.

Rylan waited patiently for his balloon sword.

They also got an airbrushed tattoo each.

This was also a crowd please for my boys. The big boxing ring was great. We are very lucky that Jamie works for such a great company. We look forward to next year.

The Lovely Lake

I am so happy with the view out our back window. There is something about water that just draws you to it and it is no different for my kids.
You know summer is getting close when the kids want to go and play by the lake. Rylan is becoming a pro at skipping rocks.

Darien and Keagan are becoming pro rowers. They love to head out on the lake for a paddle around and I am more than happy to watch them.

We had to buy a new rubber boat this year and Keagan was very excited to try it out.

It is so much fun.

Day in The River Valley

This is what we look like when we are heading out for an afternoon of bike riding. That is 5 bikes, one trail-a-bike and one bike trailer in the back of the truck. We were off for the day with drinks and snacks.
It was a great ride. We went into the river valley. It is so nice to have all the kids riding bikes now so that we can all enjoy our time. Rylan was such a trooper because he fell just as we were getting ready to go and got some pretty good scrapes on his knees. He cried for the first 15 min. but then he managed to get under control and we loved the rest of the afternoon.

The girls are so happy to be outside and they love going for bike rides.

We made a pit stop at a really cool park and the kids had a great time.

Some great snuggle time. This is one of those days that you look back on and think "what a great way to spend the day". There is nothing better.

A Day in the Life of R and S

So what do you do for fun? This is what Rylan and Stefan discovered that the vacuume can be very entertaining. They laughed so hard.Ryaln loved it that he could hang it from his chin.

It is amazing what a vacuume will stick to.

They then moved on to jumping on the couch. It was funny and I love the action shots.

I love watching Rylan play because he is so dramatic. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Snack Time

Stefan's favorite thing is snacking. He could eat breakfast and then 20 min. be asking for a snack. So what kind of snack do you give when it isn't even 9:00am? The answer is cereal.
Just for the record I didn't give him the box to just go and sit and eat from. He decided that it would be a good idea. It didn't last for very long, until the cereal got put into a bowl. LOL He is such a funny kid.

Teacher Appreciation

This year I volunteered to bring dessert to our staff appreciation luncheon and I wanted to make some thing that was both good and not too bad for you, so I decided on an angel good cake cupcake with some really hummy topping.
It was kind of a crazy morning especially with it being the end of the school year there was a million things on the go. I got a little concerned that I wouldn't have enought so I made the something not so good for you brownies. LOL

The cupcakes needed berries on top and it was hard not to eat them all and to keep the kids from eating them all.

The final product. I must admitt they were pretty hummy. I really appreciate all the work that the teachers and staff put into my kids learning. I really feel that my kids are going to the best school. We are very blessed to have such a great school.

We All Make Mistakes

So it is that time of year when I feel the need for change, and so paiting it was. This was the first time that I have ever picked the wrong color. We have painted three different houses from top to bottom and never have I been so wrong. LOL This was the before.
This was the after and yes, it is green. I remember when I got married that hunter green was one of my favorite colors, that was 12 years ago and that is no longer my favorite color and it isn't what I picked but that is how it turned out. LOL At least it can be changed.

People kept asking me why I kept painting if I didn't like it but there was this hope that it would look better when it was all done. LOL I learned that it wasn't.

So here is the primer that we had to use to cover this horrible color and a little message that I left for my hunny. At the end it is now painted the same color at the family room just a nice color of beige. It was still fun to paint and it looks good with a fresh coat of paint.
