Teacher Appreciation

This year I volunteered to bring dessert to our staff appreciation luncheon and I wanted to make some thing that was both good and not too bad for you, so I decided on an angel good cake cupcake with some really hummy topping.
It was kind of a crazy morning especially with it being the end of the school year there was a million things on the go. I got a little concerned that I wouldn't have enought so I made the something not so good for you brownies. LOL

The cupcakes needed berries on top and it was hard not to eat them all and to keep the kids from eating them all.

The final product. I must admitt they were pretty hummy. I really appreciate all the work that the teachers and staff put into my kids learning. I really feel that my kids are going to the best school. We are very blessed to have such a great school.

We All Make Mistakes

So it is that time of year when I feel the need for change, and so paiting it was. This was the first time that I have ever picked the wrong color. We have painted three different houses from top to bottom and never have I been so wrong. LOL This was the before.
This was the after and yes, it is green. I remember when I got married that hunter green was one of my favorite colors, that was 12 years ago and that is no longer my favorite color and it isn't what I picked but that is how it turned out. LOL At least it can be changed.

People kept asking me why I kept painting if I didn't like it but there was this hope that it would look better when it was all done. LOL I learned that it wasn't.

So here is the primer that we had to use to cover this horrible color and a little message that I left for my hunny. At the end it is now painted the same color at the family room just a nice color of beige. It was still fun to paint and it looks good with a fresh coat of paint.

For Real

What more can I say than "Welcome to Alberta!!!" This is the joy of living in a place that is so far north. Thankfully it didn't last very long. But Really it is the end of May.

One More Surprise Visit

We have more surprise visits in the last coupld of weeks than we ever have. This time is was from our favorite Auntie Michelle and Uncle Tyler. We had to really work this one. We made it look like Jamie had forgotten something at work and needed to go to the airport. They boys were really surprised when he returned with Ty and Mich.
We were lucky that they had a 4 hour layover on their way home. So it was off to lunch.

And some serious games of Wii Rock Band. There was a lot of laughter and a whole lot of fun.

The kids were all very sad when it was time for to take them back to the airport but thankfully they will see them again in the summer. It is great to have family that is so excited to visit and that our kids loves seeing.

Stefan even managed to convince Uncle Tyler to help him play. So much fun!!

Fun Night Out

We had a great night out with our dear friends. K took us to this great cajun restuarant. There was so much food that they had to roll out all out and it wasn't a very big restaurant. LOL
Than it was off to do some proffesional bowling. Amber was amazing!!!

Keith was a pro.

Jamie was crazy and each time was just trying to see how hard he could roll/throw the ball. LOL

I was there just for the fun. I can usually do well the first game but the second game my score goes down hill. LOL

It is awesome to have friends that you can just hang out with and have a good laugh with.

Lots of Playing

Keagan did such a great job as goalie this year for lacrosse. He much such great improvements. All three boys came home with MVP awards. It was a great weekend.
Rylan was pretty chuffed with himself being asked to play with the next age group up. He did really well but was so tiny compared to all the other players.

Darien's team did well, they managed to walk away with bronze medal. It was a huge thing as they were playing in the next level up.

We were very proud of the boys.

We had a great weekend and we can't wait for next year.

May Long Lacrosse Weekend

So as has been tradition for the last couple of years our May long weekend was spent down in Red Deer for our usual lacrosse tournament. It was a lot of fun but crazy busy with all three boys playing. Rylan was asked to play in the next level up. It was a great weekend. We have camped for the last two years but this year was spent in a hotel as we didn't have our new camper yet.
The kids were pretty happy to stay at a hotel this time because of the pool. there was a lot of time spent going down the slide. Rylan was so cute holding his nose each time he went into the water.

It is hard to see it but Stefan was going down the slide with Jamie all the time. He was so cute climbing up all the stairs to go down the slide.

This is Jamie on his own. He can make a real splash. LOL
